KY, Louisville - 12.10.04 Friday - Grand Reopening Of The Axis *REVIEW*

hey everybody......nice to see everyone out last night. on my way home from working on the club on thursday night i went into deep thought about different issues that needed to be taken care of before we could open. i know most of you guys have been fans of my music choice and style for a long time in louisville. but even when being the resident dj at club x for 18 months, 6 months at club one and 6 months at the end zone did not prepare me for the responsibilty that goes along with actual ownership of a eurotrance and techno club. this club is only owned by two people. Me and Lee. It makes for a partnership that has been nothing but enjoyable. our generals have turned out to be puzzle and keith and i must say that schwartzkopfh has nothing on you two guys when it comes to passion and integrity. i just wanted to say thankyou publicly to both of you two for putting so much time and effort into our new place. thankyou for believing in my vision of what a real euro club experience should feel like. kenny's didnt need all of my vision.......hes been to some of the same types of venues i have. i just happened to play at them. kenny will make it there someday i am for sure.

with that said do all of you kids remember my cd "club x kids bring their own lights"??? it had the cool picture of the guy swinging glowsticks in front of his face.
well let me let you in on a secret. you ve just got a taste of what real lighting is when used correctly. yeah we can buy martin mac 250 moving heads but if you dont know how to use them......well it just sucks. mac 250's are planned for the future but what we have now isnt far from it.

what i am trying to say is that with the layout of our lighting and sound you wont need to bring your own lights. dj sid remembers when i used to bitch at club x because we had minimal lighting. at the endzone we basically had no lighting except for some cheap ass chauvet crap and then at club one with plenty of lighting that was not used correctly to say the least. at this club we will have a "light jockey" that will always be "working the lights" in germany the light shows were so spectacular that the light jockeys were sometimes paid more than the dj's. we have 8 powerful scanners, 4 sweet moving heads, 2 dmx strobes, 1 green and 1 red laser all mounted on a nice trussing system. that might sound like alot but if you will notice if used correctly........you still get the feeling for a deep dark but vibrant techno arena.

but dont forget what really counts...........our dj's . we have only the best that have proven themselves as professionals. professional would be described as the crowds dj along with not cancelling and being on time. haha. remember that these people make up 75% of the contributing factor to your club experience. if the music sucks you could have all of the lighting in the world but you would still leave the club not satisfied. just to let people no puzzle and i will be playing a mix of new cutting edge club tracks along with our classics. (club x tunes without blow my whistle bitch and i need a miracle haha) we have big plans for future headliners. our headliners will compliment our music style. actually we compliment their music style. we play their tracks in our club. Atb, Kai Tracid, Paul van dyke, Dj Micro, the cosmic gate to name a few.
how does Green Velvet sound for our first Headliner??????
DJ puzzle is working on the particulars right now for a future booking.
what i am trying to say is that we wont be booking genres of music that does not compliment our club experience just because of availability and price. you get for what you pay for right. (not always). i am sure their will be plenty of haters to post after this comment hahah. but dont let it get you down. its no disrespect whatsoever. why would someone who plays a particular type of music that is not played by this particular type of club take offense to not being asked to play. nobody likes to see an empty dance floor ........especially me.

just remember kids that no matter what your friends think initially who havent attended are only pessimists. trust the people who know and understand the term "the european club experience". when you have played at these venues and look down at the crowd of people who come to listen to their choice of music and have nothing but a good time because of someones vision to give them the ultimate club experience available........well its sweet. now that that moment is finally here.....well it puts tears in my eyes hhaha. if you are one of the people that dont do drugs like myself but can still get all watery eyed over a track that is being played that makes everybody feel good and crazy then you know what i mean.

have a great day kiddies and we are looking forward to seeing you tonight!!!!!!!!!!

lets make a few things official.

dj puzzle has done a wonderful job at trying to pass along policy while not being given enough direction by myself.

1. you can bring your glowsticks NO STRINGS.
2. you can wear kandi.......a couple of bracelets and necklaces is enough. but no more.
3. you must be 18 with a VALID ID
4. you must enjoy techo and trance hahah just kidding
5. leave your drama at home
6. you will be searched
7. no illegal activity is allowed......if you are SEEN cosuming illegal substances you will asked to leave.
8. if you are on an illegal substance and this is NOTICED by our security crew you will be asked to leave.
9. drug dealers stay at home.
10. be prepared to dance.
11. do what the big white guy in the staff t-shirt tells you. he is our director of security. if you listen you may continue to attend the club. if you dont you will be asked to leave.
12. you must have good time
13. you must always enjoys dj dreks music selection haha
14. take this list seriously
15. dont freak out (you know what i mean)
16. VICKS,MASKS OR SEABREEZES will not be allowed EVER
17. NO EXCESSIVE LIGHT SHOWS AND MASSAGES

the police should not ever have to come to our club except to say that they appreciate everyone behaving like adults. you are 18 remember?? If you choose to attend the club with enhancement without being detected by our security is your problem....but whey you make it public for everyone to see makes it our problem. why do you think all of the clubs listed above didnt spend money on visual aids (lights) .....because they were riding out as long as they could to make tons of money before being closed down for good. we want to stay open forever people

if you noticed on that list it says you will be asked to leave. our security have been trained to not bust your heads on the first offense. even on the second. but when you hit number 3 be prepared to be respectfully ejected off the premises

lets all have great time

remember DJ Krossvader will be our guest tonight ( club one resident dj)

Definitely! Thank you! I had a great time (even if I didn't dance all that much). It was worth the drive for sure. I'm hoping I can make it up there again soon, and I'll have to bring Lyricaldedd along. Thank you for the shirt :)

I thought the venue was great. Lighting was badass, the chill room was tight, and the dance area was just right. Not to mention finding it coming from 65N was simple.

I absolutely enjoyed it. Considering that next week is finals week, I should have a lot of free time comin' up on the weekends!

It was nice to see/meet everyone!

Thx for the good time Triple X. i had a great time. i will definately be back sometime soon, when i get some gas money to drive back up there its lil bit of a ride from morehead. but definately was well worth it. but it was nice meeting eveone. Keep up the great work guys and party on.
