KY, Louisville - 02.26.05 Saturday - Deep Blue 2 yr anniversary w/ Felix Da Housecat

Well, lets not let the new school/old school thing and disagreements over el geeksters posts get in the way of remembering that this was an awesome party. I don't think what he said was entirely fair to the spirit of the event and I vehemently disaggree with his observations, but the point is that he had a good time and most everyone did.

Nate thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you.

I do want to say that the idea that everyone gets into electronic music cultrue through drugs is very incorrect. That might be true in pockets but not as a whole.

like i said neosporin is fucking dead i killed that little shit. now its jon owens, back with a motherfucking threat for all those little fucks out there. YOUR ALL GONNA FUCKING DIE AT MY HANDS!!!!!!

Riah I appreciate your support of Deep Blue and PT, but to say that drugs are the only way to learn to appreciate EDM is insolent. I started listening to and appreciating electronic music long before I EVER experimented with hallucinogenic substances. There seems to be an ideal in this town that you go to the club to do drugs, and the music is secondary. I.E. the music is only there to enhance your drug experience. This couldn't be more wrong. Rave culture started around the music. Due to the free spirits of the individuals supporting and creating said music, drugs became popular to enhance the listening and dancing experience, not the other way around. The few sad times I DID go to Club X, not a single kid there could tell me what genre of music was currently being played, let alone who the artist was or any other information pertinent to the scene. Everybody had it all wrong. Nobody knew why they were doing what they were doing. All they knew is that they could get drugs there and ingest them in a (supposedly) non-consequential environment. And that is the antithesis of what I believe in and what my company stands for. You don't have to wave glowsticks in your face to enjoy fat fucking beats. I'm not against it, do whatever gets your rocks off, just don't ruin my good time and the good time of people who don't appreciate dust masks and vicks and blinking pacifiers with how cracked out you are. There is a time and place for everything. Do it with friends who are into the same thing in the safety, comfort, and privacy of your own home and you will never, ever hear me or any of my people bitch about it.

mind you... i haven't been an x kid for God knows how long... i'm just saying that some people, if not exposed... are going to be doing the drugs before they start to appreciate the music. you are absolutely right that i had no idea whatg enre of music it was for the longest time, until i started realizing that i could actually listen to it without being fucked up. i just think that its not fair to judge those who do like to have a good time being an x kid, because you never know.. thats even how some of the greatest djs have gotten started.

and also... i was so wasted from ALCOHOL the other night... and too busy enjoying the AMAZING lineup to even realize or care if their were cuddle puddles... my girls and guys were going to have a great time anyways.

i just hope that no offense was taken to anything i said...

and i didnt mean you ONLY get into electronic through drugs... just meant that i did, and so do a lot of other kiddies. it just takes a mistake to realize what can be done...and now is their time to make their own mistakes without us judging them or lecturing...

but lets just stop...

THAT WAS A FUCKING KICK ASS TIME

OH, AND I FORGOT TO GIVE PROPS TO FOURSQUARE FOR IMPRESSING ME ON MY FIRST TIME LISTENING.

For shizzle on my nizzle, to use the vernacular.

Juju and Marea,

I'll be coming back to the L-ville in about 3 weeks? 4 weeks? It all depends on what is going down + my schedule + availability of rides. I would love to be able to come spend another fantastic evening with my new friends. :o)

Hating or no, I got Felix's, Marea's, and Assault's autograph on a dollar bill. It's taped to the top of my montior and I stare at it a lot. Sometimes I touch myself with it...

...no, not really. Don't you worry none about that thar.

I haven't been to m/any other Deep Blue productions, so right now, the crew is like a big fuckin' magician's hat. All I'm impatiently waiting for is to see what they pull out next.

~Decibel

P.S. AIM = electronicophile. Soma y'all best mersage meh.

I just wanted to say that this was one of the best nights out that I have had lately. Great venue, I really liked the lay out of the club and the sound was good. I really liked the set up in the room where booth, Assualt and Dizzy played. The vibe was great and it was refreshing to see people so hyped to see the music. A very big thanks to Marea for letting me crash at your house and thanks for the CD, it is in my CD player right now and great set for the night. Also to Dj Booth; great set, nice to meet you I am Ryan from Funky Asscheek's cousin, and thanks for the great Cd track 7 is my favorite. All in all I was very impressed by L'ville's scene and will be sure to return when possible. Nice work Deep blue, keep up the good work.

hey gerr UT i think me and my friend met u at this party. I see u here on bl all the time and we met some dude that said he was ryan's cuz but i didnt put 2 n 2 together to figure out that its prob the same person . . . u should pm me and let me know when ur gonna be back in the ville n we should meet up or something. I will prob. be at electric currency on 3.18, u oughta try to come.

headknocka, i thought the drinks were really strong too! I couldn't hardly drink em, i had a screwdriver that tasted like straight up vodka. i think it has a lil bit to do with whether or not u tip ur bartender well

I am sure you probably did meet me at some point, Ryan introduced me to a lot of people that night. Nice to meet you, is your name Amber or something else? I agree with both of you that the drinks were very strong. At one point I ordered a mixed drink and by the taste of it I thought that I had ordered a shot, but I never complain about more for less.

i second that... the jagger bombs were off the damn chain on saturday... jager tripple shots splashed with red bull... that will lead to a 1/2 mile ride at 35mph hanging on to the side of an explorer to catch up with your ride at the next street who just left to pick you up at the club... ha!...

nothin but good times in the ville seriously thats why i always wanna come back...

youre ryan macks cousin????????

oh... ok....

i need to ask that bitch ass mack when he plans on gettin up to detroit ish so we can get a show to go to...
