Opioids Kratom Mega Thread v. 5

I have been taking about 10 grams of red veined Mang Dai or however its spelled...several months of experimenting lead me there..It has worked for both pain and anxiety. I have barely needed to touch my benzo script (klonopin). As for pain, i know someone who has borrowed low doses of oxy now and again from a generous family member. Said person hasn't needed to do much borrowing since using kratom.
I've personally never had a script for a painkiller and I honestly don't even know how to go about asking without sounding like a seeker. My dad says his MD recommended Tramadol in place of Kratom, and claims it works even better. I just don't prefer to do anything illegal.

I like that it makes my shit smell like an elephant's, or some other druggie herbivore mammal.

Supposedly on some other sites some vendors are saying they aren't going to stop selling after the ban but will be MUCH more careful about it and use Bitcoins or TOR which I don't understand and which are harder to track.

There's also the Dark Net which I don't understand and me personally I'd never feel safe ordering an illegal substance online BUT there are LOTS of people who do it and a whole lot of them get away with it.

It won't be openly sold like in the past, but I think if we all assume no one will try to oppose the ban we are wrong.

There will be a lot of risks and penalties, more for those who sell than those who buy, but I think it's not going to entirely drop off the face of the earth.

What I personally hope, but doubt very much, is that it will SOMEHOW become available on the street.

I don't know how it would though, both with it mostly being unknown to your average drug user, or by what means people would obtain it, but then again, how to drug dealers obtain their large stashes of any illegal drug???

The question is whether or not THE DEMAND will be there.

BUT...if it IS, there will be drug dealers to sell it.

The war on drugs has never worked for any drug.

So again, it's really all an issue of popularity and whether or not any of your usual street drug dealers will see it as profitable or any big wig illegal drug traffickers will decide to import large shipments from countries like Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand.

I personally really hope they do, but I won't be buying any online after the ban.

No way would I put myself at that risk for no good reason.

But where there's a will there's a way, and laws have rarely worked to banish any illegal activity, substance, or even objects like illegal guns.

It may not COMPLETELY dissapear like we all think, but all the open legal online vendors and head shops that sell it will be gone for sure.

What really stinks is, I have never done an illegal substance. But for the first time in my life, I find myself wondering if I should. I wonder if it's going to be illegal the same way marijuana is, yet it left up to each state to enforce?
The ironic thing is I'm probably going to simply ask a doctor for a replacement and I will end up with (as someone said above) something far more dangerous with a larger potential for addiction. From what I have seen and read, Kratom would fit in with the schedule V drugs.

No, Kratom is going to be considered Schedule ONE which is fucking retarded, just like weed, which is retarded as well.

It MIGHT be moved up, but I doubt it.

Also, it will not be up to each state, it is going to be illegal nation wide.

I'm so fucking angry about it but I'm trying to almost be past it now.

I don't even think I am probably going to stock up cause it'll run out eventually anyhow and I don't need to get more obsessed with it than I already am.

I'm just trying to forget about it.

There are still other good drugs out there to do, both illegal and legal, though they are very different from Kratom.

It really sucks and I hate the DEA and hope I live to see the day they are dissolved completely and the war on drugs ends, but nevertheless, it's still just a drug.

Oh, i know it's going to be a schedule i...i just meant that imo its proper place would be in v with cough syrups and xanax loll

Don't forget if any of you are in the DC area there is a March today starting at 12-4pm and independent presidential candidate will be there speaking in support of Kratom.

^I assume u fast before using kratom. I certainly did or wouldn't feel anything. Then I'd get a nice buzz but after 2 hrs it'd be gone and I'd end up drinking alcohol to keep the buzz going.

Regarding this recent ban in the US, it was only a matter of time. I mean u have those comparing it to coffee, all while saying people will relapse to heroin if its banned?! Little contradicting don't u think? Coffee is hardly recreational, hence the lack of abuse. Look at the reddit forum where people were buying it by the kilo, when i used i never bought more than 100 grams at a time, yet even then I still got a little obsessed with it for a time. Opiates tend to do that.
And lets put to rest this idea that the pharmaceutical companies are afraid of kratom. I'd wager less than 5% of people even heard of it. It took me multiple attempts to feel the effects, and was never that great since the threshold of "feeling good" and "too much" were so close that I'd often end up feeling dizzy and nauseous in my attempt to have fun. And if u tried taking it on a full stomach u were just wasting it, very unreliable in that sense.
The first kratom I tried it was actually a liquid shot from Club 13, I had tried their salvia before with luck so trusted their quality. I MIGHT have felt something from their products, looking back it must have been very weak compared to Vivazen and powered kratom.
I usually had powdered, tried potentiating it with grapefruit juice but it never really satisfied me (once I felt the effects I always wanted to prolong them with alcohol, since redosing kratom is pointless). It also made me crave cigarettes even tho i had quit yrs ago. So all I can say is to stock up and enjoy this mediocre plant if u haven't yet quit, but when it's finally gone, i think you'll all breathe a sigh of relief.

I live in Canada so it is still legal here but I don't think this plant is that great. I have been doing it for 2 yrs, and although I started twice a week I now do it every night.. and when I don't I get cravings / withdrawal and trouble sleeping.

Do you get physical withdrawal symptoms along with the trouble sleeping? And after using for 2 years, are you still able to achieve any effects from Kratom?

Just found out why Kratom is illegal

So I was wanting to get off my prescription pain pills and discovered Kratom. I was enjoying this natural leaf for a couple weeks and then I got the news it was banned at the end of the month. I hurried and ordered different types just so I could see what each one does before I can't get it anymore. I ordered Kratom 10x extract. I popped a half teaspoon in sour cream and then started to clean up the kitchen. Problem is, I put the Sour Cream in the cabinet and the extract in the refrigerator. I got all goobered up in my brain. The natural leaf worked perfectly as a pain pill/ mild relaxer but those extracts are straight up dangerous! I Gorked up my brain for like 12 hours. I'm throwing that shit out. I'm sad I'm losing my natural leaf kratom but that extract cooked my brain for the whole day. Horrible feeling. I give the natural dried leaf an A+ but the extract is crap.

Every drug, that works, is addictive. What would be a great plant in your eyes ?

I do it all day every day I never had problems.just listen to your body. It will tell you when it wants kratom. And if it ain't satisfied, that means u aren't ingesting enough. i It's when u ignore it that you suffer. I haven't suffered for a single minute for months since I started kratom... Listen to ya body and stay kratomized.

Lol, that is not exactly the approach in order to prevent addiction/dependency. ;)

Well I went to my doctor (I have an arnp/crna that I visit regularly to manage low back/hip pain. She's really open and basically handed me a script for tramadol, saying it's mild and low risk for addiction. I will post updates later, as my dad has said it makes him feel similar to kratom.
