Opioids Kratom Mega Thread v. 5

This is still borderline sourcing imo, so please re-write it and post in the megathread.

Yes, you're correct that headshops are more expensive and it's way cheaper to buy powder and either toss&wash or buy some gel caps yourself.
 
Don't discount every head shop right away - some actually have slightly, er, more academic "herbalists" on staff. rather than Joe Bongsalesman.

That dose twice a week won't lead to withdrawal.

3) many are "in the closet" as drug users...and do not want to communicte to anyone that they are because they are paranoid about breaking the law constantly and someone finding out. its an attitude where they support kratom, but just isn't worth anyone finding out they use drugs to do something about it
 
Hi I just ordered my 2nd kratom batch from a different company, and I gotta say this one is wayy more potent like 4g=7,5g of the last batch and I can get a bigger effect with less probability of nausea, it is also slightly different (always used red vein) it is more painkilling and relaxing while the other was more blurry feeling, this batch with 5g feels like I took 20mg oxy without the reduction in concentration, memory and cognition and the painkilling effect is even more pronounced. Is that normal to see such a different effect from 2 company or is it just that sometimes a batch is more or less potent? I changed strain from boreno red to red horn, could that be it? Anyway I am happy I bought enough for a long time even tho I am not worried about it being schedueld since I live in canada and they didnt really talk about it.
My soulder is injured and it is really relieving since all the doc gave me was anti-inflamtory drug which helps but when you are in pain 24/7 for 5 weeks you kinda want a break once in a while. And this plant works great!
 
It could just be a stronger batch but I'd be more willing to bet you're noticing the difference in feel simply because you changed strains. Even though they are both red veins the alkaloid profile will be a little different than what you're used to.

My main red strain is Kalimantan and when I bought some red horn instead I noticed it was more energizing and longer lasting than Kalimantan but less euphoric, similar to a red Thai in terms of stimulation.
 
Just ordered some 'Super Green' from a reliable source, bought some gel capsules to go with it. Hoping this works out, as I am down to 1 1/2 25mcg Fentanyl patches and x4 12mcg patches. Starting my first day going from 25mcg to 12.5mcg. Also, noticed that putting it on my arm, as opposed to my chest, the effects were MUCH slower to come on. I'm hoping that translates to it lasting a little longer. Also, just plugged x3 10/325 Hydros, with only 10 left, and going to try to make that last until I get my order. Really hoping this works out to get me through an already incredibly stressful month. I feel like I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, I've just never tried Kratom before, and hoping it can substitute my opiate addiction, as well as manage some of my constant pain. And, at the end of it, hopefully Kratom will be easier to tapper off of. Any motivation or tips, I would greatly appreciate. Thanks guys! <3
 
I'm currently trying to come off of opiates (25mcg Fentanyl patches, and x4 hydrocodone (10/325) a day. I just ordered Kratom for the first time and really hope it ends up working out. I ordered 'Super Green'? After doing little research, I realized I probably should have ordered a 'bali' strain, as those are what people claim to have the most "opiate like" effect. Can anyone confirm or deny this, or give some insight into how I'm going to do? I also read conflicting stuff about making it as a tea, or just putting them in gel capsules for that method (I bought some of those just in case). Just looking to get some info, sorry Kratom noob here. Thanks! <3

Bali is probably the most sedating kratom strain but most other red veins will do the job, don't count out green strains though. I would only do tea if you can't stomach the powder. Capsules will work, I use and recommend the "000" size as you can get 1+ grams in each. Or you can just mix it in water or OJ and chug it. With your tolerance I would start at 5 grams and work up from there.
 
Im wondering if any kratom-heads out there know of the BEST powder kratom you can get on the web? i'm looking to get just super strong plain kratom powder , probably meang da, but i will buy any strain and I will pay quite a bit.... I just want the dankest shit out there , and like 5 kilos of it
 
Question about kratom's mental withdrawal

Hi everybody !
I discovered kratom three months ago and I would like to have some information from more experienced users please.
I am well aware of the potential addictive nature of kratom, that is why I try to take at least two days off between doses.
However, there has been a week during which I did kratom every day, two times a day (my average dose is between 3 and 5 grams), and the next day without kratom I was physically normal but I felt depressed like never before. After a couple of days without kratom I was back to normal.
My question : Do you think it is possible that this depressive feeling I experienced could be a mental withdrawal ? Or my kratom usage is too short/low for experiencing any withdrawal. I am also going through a little bit tough period of my life right now so maybe it is a normal feeling.

PS : I am not totally opiate naive, about seven years ago, I regularly snorted very very small amount of heroin or buprenorphine on a daily basis during approximately one year and I quitted cold turkey without experiencing any withdrawal.

Hi fellow bluelighters, I have a question for those who have spent some time reading about kratom experiences on this board. I've used the search function and haven't really found anything. So my question is this: Has anyone ever heard of kratom use resulting in a false positive in a drug test? This is just a standard pre-employment drug test. I've passed one in the past while being on heavy doses of oxycodone, but I'm a little concerned about kratom messing me up. I don't currently take anything except kratom. Thanks.

You should be fine. There's 0 chance they're testing for kratom alkaloids, and they're very different from opiates

A little worried about some possible heart toxicity reports I've read regarding Kratom? I take Prozac, which can prolong the QT interval a bit, and it seems the main alkaloid in Kratom does as well. Should I be worried about this?

Drug testing questions aren't allowed, but no, kratom shouldn't show up
 
Sorry if this has been posted already but does anyone know how to submit comments/testimony to the DEA? I feel like I owe Kratom a biiiiig favor, it has literally saved my life.

I took Kratom on Prozac with zero issues and now I take Lexapro which is a similar SSRI to Prozac and have used Kratom on it with no issues.

In fact, there were only a few times I EVER used Kratom I wasnt' on some kind of SSRI.

I think there's no reason for concern at all.
