Kratom Kratom Journal

Well yesterday ended up taking 8 grams and today 10 so far so I guess we’re back in it, but my depression is overwhelming I’m thinking about going on mirtazapine per the psychiatrist request… any advice or ideas? If the remeron (mirtazapine) works well enough I may be able to stay off the kratom and combat the lethargy with adderal and ketamine for the comedown
These drugs you're taking to come off kratom are almost certainly going to be more dangerous, short and long term than the kratom itself. Especially if you're still relapsing. They'll also never replace the way kratom feels. Tapering is THE way to drop kratom. Maybe loperamide and coffee for the energy, but I wouldn't recommend much more than that, especially since it isn't a comparably small habit.

I am falling into a deep depression I haven’t experienced before… or at least this negative. Does anybody have suggestions? Medications? Supplements? I feel like shit mentally and physically.
It's hard to get out, but cycling was immensely helpful for me the few times I'd gone through this. That and plenty of weed. The second time I leaned pretty heavy on kava/kanna.

I'm on my phone so sorry for the short notes. Mirtazapine (Remeron) is not going to fix your issues with Opioids man. I'm all about optimism and open-mindedness, but I gotta tell you how I feel. I've gotten to know you through your posts and I have your back.

I am all for people making attempts on their own at fixing these problems. I see you going up and down and it's a shitty cycle to be in .

I really think you should consider Buprenorphine. I'm thinking ~2mg per day, either once or divided in two. You continue doing everything else that you've done up until now to string your days together but with a little extra help to get you over the humps.

We can get youset up with volumetric dosing and have you drop by 0.1mg every other day which would have you at zero within 40 days. You will feel almost no withdrawal going down at this rate.

I know everyone hears maintenance drugs and feels like that is the "nuclear option". A lot of these people are too afraid to make a radical decision like this and they instead get caught up in cycles like yours.

If you want my advice that's it. I truly believe this is your best chance at fixing this. Please consider it. I'll help you through the whole thing.

Thank you for this peace of hope. I needed it. Would you mind sharing how to set me up for the volumetric dosing? I’ve relapsed on kratom and am back at 15gpd but want to set up a withdrawl/taper plan for the new year unless you think now would be better then waiting a month. I’m just hesitant now because I’m very busy until the new year with traveling but I also know that the longer I wait the harder it will be to come off. I am ready and want to prepare all of the medication for when I jump back off. I’d love to discuss this in further detail. I can get any medication prescribed except for short acting opiates. I’m ready to free myself I just need a proper plan and somebody to help. My girlfriend and family think kratom a godsend because I’m no longer going on street stuff but bottom line is I want freedom. Sorry I’m rambling. Let me know what you think. And please ask away if you need more details for anything. Much love 💜☮️

Hey I'm here and I'm available. It is a lot easier to get a hold of me via text. I'm sometimes only on here once a day. My number is Redacted. Either way, I'll talk to you soon.

Text because I have people at my apartment. They know pretty much what I'm about and what I do. Still, conversations like this are often seen as vulgar/extreme by a lot of people. You get it I'm sure

Well since I’ve been on here last a lot has changed. And a lot is the same. But I’ve been through some pretty traumatic/life altering things recently so im back on kratom and going to start filling yall in on my process/relationship with the substance. Hope yall have been good and any new findings or just advice is always welcomed… going to try tapering slow enough that i dont need comfort meds but if pulling the bandaid off slowly is too brutal ill probably CT again i feel i have the detox meds pretty figured out now but i also dont like being on the cycle of 3 weeks growing kratom habit then 1-2 weeks cold turkey with comfort meds cause im never in homeostasis… anyways im not feeling great so i hope i can do this

What’s kanna? I see it is psychoactive? Looks interesting

interesting herb that has SSRI effects? but in practice it can have MDMA like/enactogenic effects. I believe mesembrine is the primary alkaloid.
Yeah exactly, I've never actually done mdma myself, but snorting kanna extract feels like jumping in a cold pool and helps with anxiety and mood quite a bit for me. I never noticed anything from smoking or dipping the plain herb though. For the most part the most part it helped and the kava helped with the rest of it. I just bought a gram of kanna extract and did 30-50mg bumps a few times a day with a couple shells of kava a day until the kanna was gone and I didn't notice much. I had tapered some beforehand so that probably helped. And weed is always a staple, which I'm sure played a part.

Thank you and will do. Really considering going back on a small dose but going to ride it out “just for today” right… got a good show pulled up… I’m also worried about getting a gabapentin dependency as I have been using that 300-600mg 2-3x daily. Never had a dependence on it and see such mixed reviews as far as withdrawing from that goes…
Well done, and if like me don t worry bout the Gabapentin.

When i was using Kratom and got prescribed Pregabalin.
Been on 150/ 225 mg/ day Pregabalin at least 1.5 years.
CT gave no WD s.YMMV off course.
But it felt benign, Wd s where unknown att.

Powdered Leaf Kratom is forgiving.
