First off, to Morphinator: Oxymorphone produces a much better rush than Hydromorphone, IME (which, by the way, I have quite a bit of). I had access to 100count bottles of 4mg Hydromorphone, as well as 10mg Opana IR (for IV use) and 40mg Opana ER (for snorting). I have shot up probably 200-300 tablets of Opana IR, with about the same number of Dilaudid 4mg tablets, and snorted about 170-180 of the Opana ER. Consequently, I can say that Oxymorphone is NOT overrated, and is, in fact, the most euphoric Rx'able narcotic in the U.S. It does not not give the "body" rush like Hydromorphone and Morphine, but it is more of a head/body rush. There isn't any other opiate I can compare it to, as it really is in a class of its own when IV'd. My habit had me shooting up to 30-35mg Oxymorphone and 20-30mg Hydromorphone a day, and as wonderful as it was, the withdrawals felt like Death himself was slowing tightening a noose around my neck. That's the problem: it builds tolerance incredibly, unbelievably fast, and the withdrawals are the worst I've experienced from any other opiate I've used (neglecting the weak ones, this includes: 100-300mg IV Morphine, 80-200mg Oxycodone (oral, intranasal, IV), 40mg IV Hydromorphone, 200-240mg Hydrocodone (lots of CWE's), and whatever else I can't remember. Oxymorphone made me her bitch, and it will do that to anyone.
Now, in regards to the thread. The best part about opiates is that they all are unique. Therefore, it's hard to pick a "favorite".
- Oxymorphone IV'd (even insufflated) gives the best rush, far and away. It's incredibly addictiveness and insufferable withdrawals make it the only opiate I've used regularly that still kinda scares me.
- Fentanyl, when IV'd, is excellent for getting your nod on. However, there is no rush, and it's very dangerous as you have to dose in small amounts to prevent an OD, and it doesn't last very long.
- Oxycodone is excellent to take during the day, as I find it to be stimulating and productive, but b/c of my tolerance, I have a very hard time "nodding" off it it, even shooting an OC 80 in one rig. But, as far as daytime opiates go, or "social opiates", oxy reigns.
- Morphine is good, but I believe it's overrated. You get nasty histamine reactions, stomach problems, and it's the only opiate that still constipates me. However, the "pins and needles" rush is unique and enjoyable in its own right, and it does last a fair amount of time for an IV opiate. Definitely not something to shoot up and then go out on the town on.
- Hydromorphone is excellent for giving a strong, overwhelming rush. However, at the same time it also doesn't leave much of a high after the rush is gone. You can catch a nod for about an hour, but then it's time to shoot again. This is a PITA, so it quickly loses appeal once your tolerance grows.
- Hydrocodone, if you can take enough or if your tolerance isn't terribly high, is actually a quite pleasant opiate. In high doses, I find it to be empathogenic. It relieves pain somewhat in low doses, even when your tolerance is sky high. Sure, you won't feel high, but for some reason it's analgesic qualities tend to remain.
So, there's my story, and I'm stickin' to it.
