Hi, Rather new to blue light.. But anyways.. I was addicted to Opiates for a good 6 months.. Took 2 trys to quit.. Just going on a week of being Opiate free.
Questions are is it possible to wait a few weeks or months and use them say limit myself to once or twice a week as I know the effects of addiction.
Also tolerance. I used everyday for 6-8 months taking up to 500-700mgs a day and up to 3000mcg's of fentayl thingys that disolve in your mouth.. I enjoyed playing call fo duty and letting them fizz in my mouth and nod out. Haha.
Also anyone whom needs advice or help for quiting. I did cold turkey 500mgs a day to ZERO.. Gf helped i flailed around in my bed for 3 days feeling like death.. took a drive and now after 6 days im fine and just kinda miss it.. I just don't want it running my life.
Thanks in advance!

i had a daily habit for a few years. ive been 3 months clean, though lately ive let myself partake again a few times. now i'm not partaking for a few weeks
* depends on how psychological the addiction is
* depends on how long since you've quit. post acute withdrawal occurs because opiate receptors down/up-regulate (the main mechanism of tolerance) over a very very long time. before resuming opiate "chipping", be sure you're feeling normal again. if you're still in WD at all, right after WD, or maybe even PAWs if it's bad or at the peak of it, you will disrupt the process of your opiate receptors returning to normal and the PAWs will last longer. WDs can come back full force (though not as drawn out) if you go from WD to high (and then run out and go back... they can be worse than before you got high)
* you will get physically hooked easier because of your past habit. you have to be careful about your use
* tolerance will rise much faster because of your past habit
overall it's up to you. as you know, it's playing with fire, i'm just saying, it's even more so fire with a past habit
after returning to chipping (and don't do it more than once a week or tolerance *will* sneak up) be on the look-out for signs of addiction aka "i want to do A, but having fent with A would make it so much better..." etc, all those little psychological things. most say you can't return to chipping. i think they may be trying to return too soon
if you wait three years, you should basically be back to baseline, but your tolerance/dependence will still rise much faster than normal so you'd still not want to get into any daily pattern
also, 3 months probably wasn't long enough. it's just sorta hard to wait, you know
