If you use an insulin syringe and inject into the top of the thigh or your arse, you'll never get anywhere near an artery (if you did, there'd be lots of sead diabetics! )

The insufflated high is much more opiate-like, and can be used far more effectively as an escape from boredom, or whatever, than IM, which is more of a commitment both qualitatively (due to its more psychedelic nature) and logistically. It seems strange to recommend that people go from insufflation to strictly IM injection to reduce addiction potential.

Never quite thought about it like that, possibly because I don't snort anything due to having delicate little sinuses that don't respond well to powders in the nose (OK, every now & again I'll do it out of a mixture of stupidity & masochism just to be social). Not that I think taking ketamine in a club type enviroment would be much fun, it leaves me very open and inclined to discuss things I'd normally keep to myself. Taking it in the company of anybody that wasn't a very good friend just wouldn't be comfortable

I really don't know, because K seems to be the sort of drug that effects everyone differently. I've never had enough to abuse or even use to get a full trip, but sniffing a 400mg pile with a 100 booster to finish my stash a half hour later didn't successfully hole me or even make me unable to walk. So I understand people taking over a gram a night. I pray for their lungs and sinuses though!

3.5g isn't all that much in 1 night. Although it depends on the person doing it, his/her tolerance, and how many hours are in that night.
I personally wouldn't do it all in 1 night because an 1/8 isn't cheap and it just seems a little excesive.

I am a lot less likely to abuse my K if it is still in the vial. If I get a vial and cook it all up it will be gone in less than two days snorting. If I get a vial and only IM it will last me about a week or so. Sometimes even longer.

Someones earlier comment about doing the 20mg line was easier than putting it back in tha bang rang to true to me It really is much easier to snort a little bump after your k-hole than it is to prep another shot.

Samadhi you wanted information comparing the two. I will say that I switched to IM when k-holing via insufflation wasn't doing it for me. If you are looking for a more psychedelic experience IM is the way to go.

Yup. In the US, the street price is $60-120 a gram, in Canada it's around $120/3.5g. If I'm using it daily without tolerance I'll go through about 300-400mg a day, I'm a lightweight.

In a way that feels good, but it still doesn't help my situation, because I pay $50/gram, and that's a lot to go through in one night.

I used to use 250-300mg tops in a night.

I wish K tolerance weren't permanent.

What is a common IV Ketamine dose?

I was just wondering if anyone has info on IV doses of ketamine? I am looking for a common dose to start (minor tolerance and experienced). I am not looking to lose motoe control, but i do remember reading on another post that K had a great rush when IV'ed.
-If you dont know for sure Please dont post any info, I am looking for an experienced opinion.

Yeah, 300mg is what I USED to use. Now I use 1-1.5g a day. Not as much as 3 grams, but still fairly pocket emptying.

of course I'm asking doses that would do the trick for an individual that has not built any tolerance to ketamine yet.

Important: I'm not asking for a strong dose that would 'only' make one fly through a few vortexes when closing his eyes, I'm asking for the dose that would be powerful enough to plunge one into decorporation and intense mystical visions (similarly to a fourth plateau dxm dose I mean), but without waking up on the next day with absolutely no memory of the experience.

insufflated

I drop 0.5 or 1 gr on a mirror, crush it to very fine powder and use a razor to make lots of little lines, cocaine style.
Then I "do" a left/right line every one or two minutes until it's enough.
You will know when it's ENOUGH.
This technique works MUCH better than railing huge lines (which, imo, is just doing the oral route through the nose), and is a lot cheaper too. (And more fun)

genaro, I would not recomend ketamine oraly because most of it is converted into a much less active metabolite (norketamine) by the stomach. This metabolite causes anaseia, and is aslo the chemical excreted in urine

Need some help here

We guys I really need some help from those of you that have IV'ed Ketamine. I po9sted this question a few days ago, but got no response. I could really use the guidance of someone who has the experience.
So anyway I could not wait and yesterday I tried it by myself. I have 50mg/ml k and a 1cc point. I tried going straight from the bottle and doing 1/2 a cc which would be 25mg and I didn't feel shit - just a little dull in the head. So I then cooked some and took about a 2 inch line( thickness = medium)and diluted that in about 3/4cc of water. Boy did this work great, but before I noticed it my girlfriend was slapping my leg cause I obviously had given myself an anesthesia dose and fell off my fucking bed making a loud crash on the floor.......
Until now I never had the need accurately measure a dose of anything.

Activelab: Hmm... are you sure your first time was 20mg? In my experience, that ammount WILL produce very noticeable effects, however it will feel more like a weak opiate with numbness rather than Ketamine (IME). However, you've mentioned that you have lots of tolerance, so that could be why you didn't feel much.

How much mg. was your dosage the 2nd time? You have to be REALLY careful when IVing and go up in no more than 10mg increments. Otherwise, you WILL black out. There is a very fine line between a dissociative IV dose and an anesthetic one. Last time I had IV K, 100mg would have been a strong dissociative dose for me, and 120mg would just knock me down.

Btw, have you IVed anything before? And have you tried IMing K?

It is good you're using pharm. grade though.

Do most people who use ketamine nasally crush it into a fine powder first? The stuff I have is very small salt like crystals which up until recently I just used as is. Then I tried crushing it into a fine powder and found that the burn is much worse and I don't quite like it as much.

Does it make much difference?
