Dissociatives [Ketamine Subthread] Different Brands

Yup, they all feel like S-isomer brands, Aneket, Ketevan, Aquaket, and Vulcan. With Vulcan being the cleanest and Aneket being the most body feeling, putting me down. Aquaket is fairly similar to Vulcan in the clean feeling and Ketevan is my fave I think, right there with Vulcan and Aqua.
 
Miketa is the only Racemic I've had in awhile, though it is nice to have sometimes, I think that the neon label Aneket is also partly racemic or something, not sure what makes it so damn rough on my body. Not rough actually, just more body, kinda like a heavy indica feeling from bud.
 
But am I right in saying that it should be manufactured liquid first and then turned into powder? (Someone told me that the vials are more expensive because of the manufacturing involved turning it powder to liquid but that sounds like bullsh** to me..)

Sounds about right to me, the vials are sterile for injection, it's gonna cost extra to do that.
 
actually, i believe that when ketamine is manufactured, it's made in powder form. when the pharm companys put it into vials, they add sterile water and a preservative, usually benzodium chloride (not sure if that's spelled properly) and then it's liquid.

i know some people that get ket in huge qty's in powder form and they all claim that it's "preset" ket, meaning that it's in the form that the pharm companys get it before they mix it up and put it in vials.
 
Can anyone else speak to the quality of Ketavan? Why isn't there more info online about it (or maybe I just can't find it)?
 
Ketavan is quality, I'm pretty sure it's mostly S-isomer because I get nice big crystals if I'm not impatient and let everything evaporate with no heat. It feels less rough than Miketa-50 does, plus you gotta love the pop-tops.

Anytime I've had Miketa-50 it forms smaller crystals than Aquaket or Ketavan. I thought racemic mixtures of chems will have trouble forming large crystals, but chemistry isn't my strong suit so maybe someone who knows more will chime in. I've definitely noticed a difference in the size of the crystals, though obviously you can't tell from that alone.
 
Ya sorry, I should have clarified why I even mentioned that in my first post. I asked the ADD people about the racemate thing, so maybe they can shed some light.
 
Ketasol 250mg/5mL ampoules are floating around here.

It leaves you groggy and couch locked. Some people don't like it, they say it's too potent.....lol
 
I was wondering what isomers are in each brand of Kay, I cant seem to find the specifics for the Mexican brands. Ive tried Anesket, aranda and Cheminova.

Cheminova being my favorite and some deep trips into Kland, but I would like to know what isomer IM getting to judge it compared to ppls reports and my own experiences. If anyone can help with this information and more, it would be much appreciated.
 
Here's a short list from wiki of s isomer only brands and brands containing -- sometimes said to be independently psychoactive -- preservatives:

Ketanest S Parke Davis (Pfizer) - S enantiomer only, no preservatives

Ketaset (Wyeth) - R/S ketamine and benzethonium chloride as a preservative.

Ketalar - R/S ketamine + Phermerol (benzethonium chloride) added as a preservative

I think most all other brands are R/S 50:50, and if they have the same concentration any reported subjective differences are due only to between session differences in physiology/emotional state/etc.

There's very little difference between most brands. Users confuse their psychological state during the use of a particular brand with the intrinsic properties of ketamine and conclude brand x is different than brand y without there being any physical difference. Hell, I've caught myself doing it. I like the name "Calypso" more than "Ketamax," and the septum on the bottles is softer, and therefore I assign it some psychological property such as "feminine" or "goddess-like" (Calypso is a goddess). But it's all bullshit.

s-isomer is so much more epic, its definitely the isomer to be going after. I used to obtain pure powder both racemic and s-isomer.

Racemic was confusing, s-isomer was pure, clear, psychedelic euphoria.
 
I vouch for a decent table set up here where any info on brands and containing isomers are collected

Am expecting a vial which is said to be S but not listed in this thread... Let me see if I can dig something up at the time.
 
i never get to see which kind/brand of k i get as i get it bagged in crystal form from my supplier, however i definately notice a difference in effetcs from time to time

could someone please explain to me in simple terms about this s/r insomer as im clueless

can u tell the difference from taste etc?
