Not sure it would cause problems really - if firms had a need for it, they would have the appropriate licence and not have any problems. If that factory in India was producing a metric tonne of it on a regular basis, that is clearly a vast amount and I personally doubt that we will see such large quantities available again. If the laws have changed etc then I'd expect people to be deterred - lengthy time in an Indian prison would not be a walk in the park! Be interesting to know what Mr Big Time gets when his case reaches court over there.

Yeah I meant busted. I thought the places in London were just raids where large quantities were found?

That firm in India did have the appropriate licensing, but I guess that's beside the point. I guess there aren't too many problems with opiate production, aside from the morphine shortages. There is already one guy in India on death row for diverting it illegally isn't there? You're right though, we are never going to see those quantities again. I'm guessing the price is going to get out of control, or it's gonna be even more bashed. Then again, I wouldn't be too surprised if another Indian firm stepped in to fill the void - massive poverty, widespread corruption, unwatched chemicals; Talk about a recipe for cheap ket :D. They are never going to go as hardcore as China did when they banned it.
 
In my opinion things like this seem to go in cycles, look at what happened to pills and mdma a few years ago, now you can get amazing stuff really easily albeit at higher prices.

I think the same will happen with K, as long as the demand is there, particularly in the UK then someone else will step into Mr. Bigs shoes but will increase prices. Probably just over the border in Pakistan. I think the days of tenner a g are over it'll be 20 or 30 while its still in short supply then will drop to a steady prices probably between 15 and 20 depending on who you know when it starts flowing back in.

I got a decent amount of K in london over the bank holiday, it was expensive but didn't seem to be cut with anything although i'd only give it a 6/10 in terms of stregth n thats being genrous. Was doing miniumum 0.25g lines to get some wonk whilst drinking at the same time, my tolerance is high though and doesnt seem to have dropped much during the drought :(
 
I'm not sure you can directly compare this to the MDMA situation as that was caused by the lack of safrole after the authorities burned a shit load of it in Cambodia (I think?). With the K situation, you are talking about removal of the manufacturer and distributor, not just an important precursor. The end result is the same though.

I have been hearing all sorts of stories throughout summer (if you could even call it that) from friends about how so and so in some obscure place down country has managed to get his hands on loads of top notch k...a week later and shock, it hasn't appeared. Makes me laugh that so many people are easily and readily taken in by the bullshit of opportunistic middle men who smell the chance to make a quick buck without realising how difficult it actually is to get hold of.
 
The difference is; MDMA is made from a precursor that can be grown (safrole), so it's not too difficult to see a plant source set up, ketamine is totally synthetic - no original plant source for making ketamine. If the process still requires some biology, then there's a way around it. Unlike LSD, heroin, cocaine etc., ketamine is a totally synthetic drug (no need for a plant based source), so it's monitored from step one. This is one where the supply depends upon human greed - you can't start groiwing something that will produce a precursor for ketamine (unless some twisted genetic engineers want to start playing god and get an organism to produce a precursor =D).

Dissociatives are not something that occur naturally in large amounts (OK Ibogaine has NMDA antagonist activity, but it's hardly the ideal dissociative)

Even methamphetamine can be made from a natural souorce, ketamine has no natural equivalent

K! Feels way better and much less side effects. Although MXE is still great.

I bought 2 g's for £50 (ridiculous) the other day...it was the worst 'k' I've ever done, did absolutely nothing. So annoyed.

Wish I had a link for vials. So I might just resort to trying mxe for the first time. But can you hole on the stuff?

I like to occasionally (about twice a year ) take Ketamine hydrochloride, which I use for deep-level innerspace journeys . As I live in a South American country where it is not commonly used recreationally, the only way to get it is to pose as a vet and go to a veterinary pharmacy, where it is sold in solution ready for injection. On my first two attempts I was politely asked for a prescription. The third gave me a long explanation of how the youth use it recreationally and so it is tightly regulated, all the time giving me an "I know your game sonny Jim" look.
On my fourth attempt I was asked what I wanted it for so I said it was for my horse. He asked my what kind of horse I had, at which point I started to feel vaguely absurd. I said "pony", at which point we both cracked up and I walked out of the shop.

Sorry...I think I'm a bit behind here. I'm confused. Has an Indian manufacturer/distributor been busted - is that what polykid and f&b are talking about at the top of this page..?

Personally, I think the forces of the market will prevail... there is surely such huge demand in the uk, that someone will step up to deliver the supply...

SHM - I believe F&B is talking about the extraction of ephedrine from the Ephedra plant... as the natural starting point for meth.
