Kandi Bikini Tutorial

So I was 4 blue glow beads short =( had to make it work with white glow...hope it's not too noticeable!

Anyway I decided to do a heart connector instead (matches with the neck strap):

I've never been really into kandi but this is actually really cool, good job making it! lol im sure lots of ppl would like to see a pic of it being worn!

I'm bummed about running out of those blue glow beads (I'm a perfectionist so it was painful to put white beads instead of blue)...but I guess you can't really see it. Doesn't help that I keep pointing it out though =/

Anyway, I'll probably finish it tonight and take a pic of me wearing it so y'all can see the finished product. I have to fit my friend in it later. She has bigger..well, ya know...so maybe the picture will look better if she's in it. I'll ask her!
 
Yeah exactly most people probably wouldnt even notice if they werent told about it first, but im the same way with details so I know what you mean lol . How long has it taken you to make?

Oh really did you make it for her or? Dont be so modest though,it would definatly look great with you in it too!

You don't have to find the guy wearing this attractive or anything, it can just simply be funny. I mean I'd definitely laugh my ass off if I saw some random dude at a rave wearing this shit, and I'd go over to him and give him big props for having the balls to do so xD
 
I think it'd be hilarious if a guy wore one. Like I said, he'd get a lot of attention (possibly from people he doesn't want) but it'd be funny!

@ raver, I started the top when I started the tutorial and I just finished it. I've been working on and off, I'd say it took four or five hours? It took a lot longer to make it and make the tutorial =)

Anyway, my friend doesn't get off work until like 10:30 so you're just going to have to deal with seeing me in the top

I'm going to get more string when I get paid, and start trying to work through the tutorial. ^^ we'll see how it goes. I'm lovin' it though.

Does it slide up a lot?
 
Those are just pics of me messing around with the program. It's really nice because it allows you to play with your design & colors...only problem is that since it's free you can't save any of your patterns. I just take pictures of each pattern on my phone and that way I can keep them for future use.

And Wadsworth, I did not come up with heart connector (I steal all my ideas LOL) but I too think it's awesome! I was trying to figure out how to incorporate the hearts into the top (I'm so tired of using stars as connectors on the neck strap). Anyway glad you like!

About it sliding, it's not yet. I made it tight (which is why I had to hold the strings in the back) because my gf is skinnier than I am. Like I said though, the top I wore to Nocturnal was sliding up and down by the end of the night. So when you make your back strap, make it at least an inch smaller so you allow for stretching!

What's a screenie btw? A screenshot? IDK, if you DL the program for free you can't save that's all I know. Cell phone cameras work well enough!

Wow definatly looks incredible! You could definatly pull off wearing it in public no problem I think. I've seen a few different attempts other ppl have made at making one of these and they never actually look like a real swim suit but this one actually does, its impressive.

This is just adorable!! One thought for people who were concerned about breakage: you could sew or glue some knit fabric on to the back of the triangles which would not only reinforce all the beads, but probably be much more comfortable!
