You're going to have to tell us what those abbreviations stand for mate.
Chill the f*ck out dude, your fiery take on this is soooo unwarranted.
I haven't been diagnosed by any doctors, yet I feel as though I'm teetering on some type of CHS-like condition. It's nothing severe, & I should think only the pick of the crop would be given enough attention to be dedicated a peer-reviewed case study [its morning sickness doctor! .
It shouldn't surprise anybody that long-term administration of CB agonists would disrupt your digestive regulation. I would go scour pubmed to prove a point, & I probably will once I have the time because I believe it's starting to concern me too.
From what is easily available on the net, you can establish causality
My wife was diagnosed with CVS 18 months ago. However her father is under the impression that cannabis is the cause of her illness.
He smoked, I've smoked longer than my wife & obviously we smoke the same stuff. I ain't sick, never have been. Certainly helps with the stress associated with my wife being sick.
I believe CHS is an incorrect diagnosis when it is against the symptoms associated CVS. My wife can only eat after smoking.
Has anyone here diagnosed with CHS believe they have CVS or are even aware of CVS?
I DO know that cannabis is most likely not the cause of this since one of the main reasons its used medicinally it to CURE nausea.
Doesn't it make sense then that marijuana overuse could cause peaks and valleys in calming the stomach, for example between doses? What you're claiming is akin to if someone is using opiates regularly to treat pain and then says that increased sensitivity to pain between doses couldn't possibly be related to opiate use since opiates are used to treat pain. It is clearly the opiates that are responsible. Same goes for benzos and anxiety, stimulants and motivation, etc, etc...
All OPIATES cause constipation sometimes severe which could lead to abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting....actually the nausea and vomiting would more be a opiate withdrawal symptom...the abdominal pain resulting from severe constipation due to the opiates. If any doctor told me what he told you I'd tell him to kiss off and find me a new one that wasn't brainwashed with anti-cannabis propaganda lies......he obviously has no personnal experience with the plant to believe that utter shite.
I'm an 18 year old boy and 4 years ago when I was 14 I started smoking cannabis, and ALOT. I was probably smoking over a quarter ounce a day. After about 8 months or so of constant day and night smoking I randomly went into this sickness attack, I thought at first it was a virus or food poisoning etc untill the symptoms of a severe stomach pain/cramp, constant nausea and vomiting and unbearable sweats lasted a whole 7 weeks constant I lost over 2 stone in weight after many tests over the next 3years from endoscopys to barium liquid tests to standard blood tests which iv now lost count of, I was first diagnosed with CVS (Cyclical vomiting syndrome) so after that I tryed to just get on with my life obviously still smoking weed but I was still getting ill and I would go into these attacks that could last anything upto my longest and first attack 7 weeks! Always getting ill the next morning after I has smoked the night before, my mum was adamant that it was the cannabis making me sick so I decided to put it to the test and gave up smoking weed! After that I wasn't getting ill! I had my life back but me loving smoking pot and still not fully believing myself it was the weed or maybe more not wanting to believe it was the ganja so I went back to smoking, bang the next day I was in a sickness attack which lasted 4weeks if I'm correct, still not wanting to believe it was the weed I would go through my attack which I will add is the most painfull thing iv ever felt even worse than withdrawing from opium which leads me onto the next part of my terrible teenage journey off life I once got given a bit of opium and I went into another sickness attack one day and decided to use this bit of opium on some foil and chase the dragon as they say, and it releaved me of my stomach crp not completely but enough where I wasn't rolling around screaming out in pain! So a result of this I am now addicted which is why I can say that the pain of CVS/CHS (cyclical vomiting/cannabinoid Hyperemesis syndrome) is far far worse than that of heroin/opium withdrawals!! Finally beleiving myself that it was the weed I decided to do some research to see if there was anyone else that had this weird almost allergic reaction to cannabis finally finding and diagnosing myself with CHS (Cannabinoid Hyperemesis syndrome) something even 3 specialist doctors in gastroenterology couldn't diagnose my specialist doctor is who diagnosed me with CVS very similiar to CHS. Anyhow a few months ago my bloke I get my smoke off had loads of this new strain call super silver haze which is a Sativa dominant hybrid which I stupidly gave into an smoked a bit but amazingly I wasn't sick the next day so I started smoking some more and still wasn't getting ill until eventually the super silver haze ran out and we had to wait for the next crop to come in, me being ecstatic that I was smoking an not getting ill so I thought maybe my illness has gone this was when I still thought I had CVS NOT CHS so after scoring some different weed I smoked that night like usual next day bang I was ill!! Later finding out that the weed I smoked was an indica dominant plant iv smoked a lot of different types of hazes and nearly all hazes are Sativa dominant haze being a weed I smoke that has never sent me into a sickness attack! Strange don't you think! I really want to stress the fact that CHS is a medical condition and all these comments I'm seeing saying its bullshit etc and you know there's no such thing is really pissing me off iv had to live a horrible teen life because of this I failed most my school exams etc because of so much illness, people need to be aware of this the pain sufferers of CHS suffer during an attack imagine of all you loved doing was smoking weed which I'm sure most reading this will and everytime you done so you got ill and had to experience a pain worse than heroin withdrawals!Doctors are just agianst cannibis because alot of them will be out jobs when its legalized because its such an effective substitute for all the shit drugs they over-perscribe.

The doctors still attribute it to the marijuana. I was there for two nights, luckily it wasn't as severe as the trip I described in the original post. Do you guys think it is more likely the H or the weed?
Chainer: My doctor told me he has seen several cases similar to mine in the past few years. All people who smoke weed heavily and have these bouts of nausea and pain throughout the year. He's a gastroenterologist.
