so AT LEAST HERE, they really don't have any right to bitch or complain about conditions. The only thing I can think of is that they just enjoy/like/ or are genuinely content beeing where they are at.
Sorry AxL, I should have emphasized that a little more with capitalized words. I have lived in some of the worst ghettos of North Las Vegas, San Diego and Los Angeles. But here in South Park, HUD dwellers are NOT confined to live in specific areas. What I'm saying is HUD housing is not confined to the ghettos!!
If they find a place that accepts HUD they can relocate or choose not to get stuck in the slums. Then there are those that dont qualify for HUD but are working for minimum wage. Once again, the 3 worst slum areas in South Park do not necessarily have the cheapest rent. They dont have to bee there, they CHOOSE to bee there.
obviously, you have not seen the decadent severity of the hood.
You are flat out wrong in this respect! I worked from prison to homelessness, homelessness to sleeping on a couch in the ghetto, to having my own apt in the ghetto to getting out of the ghetto. Rags to lower middle class, 3 times over with zero help from HUD, unemployment or welfare. I have dodged my share of cockroaches, mice and bullets and I have not forgotten where I came from.
I have been the token white boy working in upholstery shops, picked lettuce for two years in the fields of So Cal. Working the jobs that Bush says, "No Americans want". Soup kitchens, day labor, food stamps and transpo via city bus was par for the course at one time in my life. Hell, I lived so long in the ghetto that I'm practically bilingual.
I stand firmly on what I said. Sounds like they need to change cities. lol
