Stimulants Just got prescribed dexedrine what to expect

Hi Lone!
I too got switched to dextroamphetamine after being on another stimulant (MPH IR) for many years. It almost seemed like I'd built up a tolerance, although I've been told that's "very rare and abnormal" blah.
I was prescribed the ER spansules. I was pretty excited First day I felt jittery ....after that, they either had no effect whatsoever, or they actually made me SLEEPY! Ended up switching back to ritalin The break did seem to do a little bit of good in that area though.
I haven't read this thread, just your post...but I'm sure you will find I am in the minority here... most people have great results with this drug. Just wish I had been 1 of them

Update

So I feel great! Kind of feels like adderall, but without that extra JOLT. Also feel that I may not be on too small a dose. But whatever the case I feel great, one thing that is interesting though is when im on adderall im like EXTREMELY organized, I usually want to clean everything in sight, and make sure everything looks good before running off to work or college. This feels a bit more laid back, not as focused. again could be lack of dose, but it feels just a bit more melo. I feel great though, and I took a .5 klonopin a sec ago (im perscribed....so i honestly need too considering I been on benzos for 4 months), we shall see results.

also....please dont shut down this thread for this, it seems like BL has new rules everyday compared to when I was here 3 years ago :/ but here is the pills I am currently on

I don't think the rules are new but with the massive influx of posters if they don't correct people when they see rule breaking it won't be long til this site gets nuked, or overrun.


dexedrine is usually described as a cleaner feeling. adderall is racemic, so there is d-amp in adderall, but something about the racemic pills makes them feel a little "crackier" for some people. plus you're on a lower dose. enjoy the mellowness, and try to eat 3 meals a day.

Adderall is a Dextroamphetamine and Levoamphetamine mix in a 75/25 ratio respectively. Not 50/50

Dexedrine isn't THAT much of a difference compared to Adderall, but most people agree levoamphetamine is responsible for the undesirable effects from adderall. So dexedrine I would say is more favorable.

Dexedrine is Dextroamphetamine, which makes up the better half of adderall. You got lucky in my opinion, dexedrine is hard to get and better than adderall, which is made up 50% of levoamphetamine which has shitty effects.

quick question though, how the hell do you get dextroamp prescribed when you've been through opiate rehab.???????

You will like it. Watch your BP tho, have it taken at the pharmacy here and there. Nevermind if you are fat or not, same for how old you are. Take BP measurements. I've been on dexedrine for almost a straight year from nov 2010 to jan 2012 with only a few breaks. Find a girl to have sex with when you take more than scripted. Do not take more than scripted too often.

That's the advice that me, a seasoned dexedrine user, has for you.

I was on Adderall XR 25mg for 2 months before I was on dex. Adderall seems a bit more recreational (not kidding), because it is a lot more like your typical canadian speed pills from the streets. The physical, kick-in-the-ass stimulation is a bit less existent with dex.

Brother is talking here about a passive high where you fall back on your lazy ass and expect the pill to do all the magic by itself, without any sort of input from you. This approach is recepy for tolerance and disaster because you're letting your brain be in control of the reaction, and when the brain is in control of the reaction, everything is lost. The magic dies like most bluelight members testified on this site, amphetamines lose their magic pretty fast, when you're playing the kick my butt game.

If you talk about an active high where you do something, take the pill and keep on doing that something while the effects kick in, dexedrine is superior, like for meditation where levo-amphetamine, by kicking you in the butt DISTURBS you from your inner peace. I guess if you're unable to find peace, getting kicked in the dick can be fun.

Okay....holy crap, holy fucking crap, I feel fucking, GOOD. I Mean its almost insane how good i feel, I honestly can say I like dexedrine more than adderall, but for reacreational purposes. It lacks the motivation I get from adderall, that "I need everything in place" and "I need this paper to be incredible"

but wow, lemme tell you people on this site dont lie. Not only am I not getting the crazy shakes and irritability I got from addy IR's, but I feel just much "cleaner" if you will.

The downside is I noticed my add isnt as good with dexedrine....i noticed I was not as focused in school.

My presentation went amazing btw. I wound up taking 25mg in total, along with 1mg klonopin, and it just feels so right. Even with enough benzos, I would test seeing if my hand would shake off addys and id be all over the place, but with dexedrine, its just not there. I can see why people consider dexedrine more recreational. Im going to take breaks, and be nice, as I know just how quick doing amps everyday inhibits the feeling im getting today.

I was able to eat a turkey sandwhich, and downed it slow, but honestly, I couldnt do this on adderall. I feel absolutely DISGUSTED by food.

All in all i feel fucking amazing, Ive got some benzos too come down on, and so far its been very smooth, so much smoother than my old addy IRs.

One question though can anyone else attest too why I felt the way I felt off vyvanse?? Similiar experiences??? Its supposed to be a goddamn pro drug, but it would give me more anxiety that adderall. Yet dexedrine, which vyvanse is made up of, is just off the wall amazing :D

Vyvanse is a prodrug, like codeine, it goes in liver, dex goes in the brain. 25mg man you went balls deep in that shit the first time. Congradulations on the high, you're up in rank now, Mr. Dex Corporal...

If this thread starts to sway in the wrong direction it will be closed, let's not let that happen.

Lone1 - A small dose of clonazepam would be fine. Obviously being through rehab, (even though it was for something else), you know that both these meds are very risky for a person with an addictive "gene". So there is no way you should ever use them for recreational purposes, you don't want to have another door close on you for medication that is needed for legitimate purposes.
