Joints vs Blunts

Joints when I'm alone, blunts with the homies. It's the natural way of tings.

Have you ever seen a magnum sized blunt wrap?

Only for the big boys. Ive seen someone put 6gs in one of those, with room to spare. The roach itself was a fat ass 5 bowl

Well the underlying point was that there's no upper limit to how big a joint (or blunt for that matter) can be, so if a joint can't get you high enough try something like this: http://weednomo.files.wordpress.com/2007/03/very_big_joint.jpg

I was just commenting on your statement that a joint can't get you high enough, make bigger/better joints :p

A blunt rolled from a cigar (in this case, a Dutchmaster):

that's a pretty sexy blunt...out of all the times I seen one though - that's the best looking one I ever seen.

Wasnt me who said that ;)

Ive smoked a blunt and a joint today, both were fucking faaattt, the blunt for sure got me way higher lol. They burn much slower when rolled up fat. For pinners though, joints are obviously better. I only roll up when Im trying to smoke a LOT of weed though, so I would never smoke a pinner.

Unless Im smoking more than a gram at one time, its a pipe/bong for me

yeah I dont take pictures of every blunt I roll but the Bluntville wraps are tobacco, just of a lesser quality than normal blunts. I just prefer them because you get 2 for a 1.25 whereas 1 Dutch costs 1.25. So you basically get two-for-one. And you dont have to gut them. Win-win

In real life or on the internet? That's pretty much a standard roll in the US... Once a person gets the hang of de-leafing a cigar, twisting with the inner paper and then re-rolling the blunt with the outer leaf (a process known to me as "pearling") it's actually incredibly hard not to roll a perfect blunt.

I just prefer them because you get 2 for a [a certain amount] whereas 1 Dutch costs [the exact same amount]. So you basically get two-for-one.

Damn! Philly's got some cheap ass roll-ups.. even in WV, where alcohol and tobacco are cheaper than anywhere else I've ever been, the cost was about 75% more than what you quoted. I can't even get a Black & Mild for that amount.

Well thats not like a universal price, 711s and Wawas are always higher. Its mostly gas stations that have the fair prices.

Same here, and the prices I consider fair are still a hell of a lot more expensive. I'm jealous, man, I haven't seen a Dutch go for that low since ~2006. I should note, though, that I'm talking about cigars and not cigarillos. That might account for the difference. If not then I'm gonna have to make the 2-3hr drive to Philly for mass Dutch runs when I start smoking again.

Lol btw apparently in the UK blunts are just joints with 100% weed and no tobacco
Just an interesting fact . Weird

Not true, a blunt is usually made with a blunt wrap though, not a gutted cigar. I'd call a pure joint just that, a pure joint.

I much prefer a spliff, it's the perfect amount for smoking on your own, looks better IMO, is less wasteful and burns slower. I'd only roll a blunt if there's a group of us smoking and we fancy something different.

I know you Americans don't like tobacco in your spliffs, but I much prefer a tiny sprinkle of fag baccy in a blunt, like a 1/5 of a cig, to soften the smoke.

I'm one of the few Americans that agree with youse guys. A little bit of smoking tobacco (especially in a blunt) goes a long way to making your method of smoking burn even longer.

Plus, I simply don't mind the taste. A lot of us in the US like to taste pure weed as you call it, but for me it really doesn't matter. It extends the session, eliminates my desire to spark a cigarette afterwards, and goes well with the overall taste of a blunt provided you use the right tobacco.

Funny story, when I was in college I was always sneaking tobacco into the twist without my roommates and smoke buddies seeing. They never commented on it tasting too much like tobacco, but most people always noted that my blunts hit harder and burned slower than any other J in the session. I told my old roommate about that like a month and a half ago and dude flipped out on me because he only smokes weed... no tobacco whatsoever except for his roll-up. I thought it was pretty funny. =D

Can't do tobacco. Every time I do, it feels like I'm going to cough my lungs out of my chest. My biggest pet peeve is being handed a joint with tobacco in it, with no warning. I understand why people cut it and I'm forgiving, but it still wrecks my lungs for days. Funny how pot smoke doesn't do that, although organic/raw tobacco is not as severe for me.

Wish I could enjoy blunts because they come in so many flavours and a lot of people share them. Oh well!

I like joints.

Dude Id be pretty pissed if you did that to me.. you pretty much drugged him with an highly addictive substance that he would have never normally tried

Eh, dutches are tobacco, from the outer leaf all the way to the guts. Adding a pinch spread evenly throughout won't make much of a difference, in my opinion. My hands are clean on this one.

(And it wasn't just him... the smoking circle was about 15 deep, including myself.)

Oh I thought you meant in joints lol...

Still, the wrap is an extremely minimal amount of tobacco, unless you smoke most of one to yourself its not going to do anything. Tobacco + Weed has been proven to be much more addictive than tobacco alone though, enough people get addicted to the shit as it is, no need to try and make some new addicts..

I hear you... Imagine the circumstances, though. Say you were my roommate and, unlike him, you became addicted to tobacco but didn't know it was tobacco you were addicted to. Worst-case scenario you'd go through some nicotine withdrawals once you stopped smoking blunts for about 24hrs.

Granted, nicotine withdrawals are pretty shitty for a heavy addict (i.e. a chain-smoker), but for someone mildly involved with tobacco smoke? At most you'd have a headache and be irritable for a few hours. I thought this one through before I started throwing a pinch of tobacco into group sessions, which normally was a blunt per person and 2-5 people on average, with my blunts being the only "tainted" ones. I really don't feel bad at all about it.

its all a matter of opinion, i personally like to share a blunt among 2 or 3 friends, as they burn slower and taste better in my personal opinion. Joints are good by yourself if you want to walk down the street and smoke on the go however.

If I asked wether there was tobacco in the mix or not and you lied, I'd be mad as hell too. I don't know your buddies, but I have quit tobacco some months ago and I try to minimize even the passive smoke I inhale at bus stops etc, it gives me a lot of anxiety for one and in this case it would interfere with the high. I really, really hate when people secretly put drugs into my body and I consider it a pretty extreme violation of privacy. It's not all black and white though, your friends might be cool with it I don't know them :)

Its one thing to be mad at unknowingly inhaling tobacco smoke. But if you smoke a blunt with someone (a product made out of tobacco) how can you be that mad at them for putting in a little bit more ground tobacco? Its not like that little bit more is gonna be the tipping point that costs you a lung. Just my 2 cents

Well there's palm leaf blunt wraps too which are non-tobacco, but maybe I'm just a bit neurotic about tobacco =D It's really not about lungs either, it's the nicotine, that little bit extra might just be the tipping point that makes me anxious or risks a relapse into smoking tobacco again.

EDIT: The mentality goes like this: "Oh so I had a little tobacco int he mix so meh, while I'm smoking tobacco today anyway I might take a few puffs out of my friends cigarette since I feel like doing it now." Next thing I know I'm grabbing a pack from the store.
