74p? how the hell did ya end up wiv that much lol? i know someone that said his washer had broke and they gave him 6quid for a box of washing powder but 74p lol. classic!
 
^ I felt so guilty I wanted to just run up to the nearest taxpayer and offer them a blowjob in return at least. But fought the urge and ended up just buying a loaf of bread with it... and nicked some cheese to go on it - may be skint but cheese is an essential :D

There is deffo something wrong there with the amounts he got. Especially as it was his fault he put himself in that situation by missing his appointment, twice. That's a little unfair. I once received 20 quid to get food, and pay gas and electric with for two weeks.

I may have it wrong with six months. But it's deffo long time!

Which is shit as i've got 2 quid to last me 16 days or more and I'm not able to receive another one and I've been to all of my appointments and recently been made homeless, thought I have a emergency roof over my head, it's not nice or home. Life is shit.

I have no issues with crisis loans, because I pay them back. I also paid my taxes working for the past 9 years, so it's now my turn to receive some help back from the taxes I already paid. It's not OTHER tax payers money.

i agree....i have got a crisis loan once and i will never do it again....spent an hour on the phone in the jobcentre getting thru to be told i cant ring from there so i went to the phone box, took me an hour and 15 mins to get thru for a 2nd time, plus the 15mins time for decision on how much.... then i had to hang around in town for 2 hour for the next payment time. they gave me 60 quid and took 2 30pound payments off me leaving me broke for the next fortnight. NEVER AGAIN
 
Sounds like everyone gets fuck ups apart from me when it comes to the dole.

Lady I spoke to was ace. Was only on hold for 10 minutes. Spent 15 mins on phone. Arrange to go collect it at a set time 3 hours later, cashed it, received a letter saying they' take 7 quid out of my dole each fortnight. Yet to see that that happens, but I trust it'll be right, or i'll be straight on the phone to sort it out!

Maybe it's just Bristol, but I've never had a problem anywhere other than Newcastle. Where they didn't pay me for 8 weeks as a lady had typed the wrong letter into a computer. By time they paid me I had already found my own job with no help from the dole, and they didn't back date my dole due to that. Fuck did I want to do damage to that lady!
 
I usually find introducing myself as the crossbow cannibal speeds the jobcenter staff up a shade.

How did they come to the decision that 74p was appropriate, but that 75p might be too much? :D
 
Why'd they even bother to give out 74p. What's the point, you can't do anything with it.
 
74p?? are you having a laugh? seventy fucking four bloody pence?!?!?! If thats the most your gonna get then I suppose you could always sell your body?
 
They work out when your next dole payment is, and decide on a set amount they think you can live on each day until then. They will have a set figure for each day.

You can ask for any amount (within reason) you think you need, and they go away and think about it. They don't always agree with what you've asked for.

Needless to say, the money they gave me to last three weeks, hasn't lasted three weeks.
 
Stupid thing is if you wanted the money for booze/drugs and were scamming them they would give you tons. As soon as you tell the fuckers the truth they have a tendancy to give you very little. The whole system is buracratic nonsense and dosnt help those that its supposed to. Pisses me off no end.

wheres the money for all the diffrent benefits that people claim coming from then? its nothing to do with what the goverment has told me, i can see for myself.
 
True, a fraction of it does. But don't run away with the idea that your taxs go straight to dole vermin.
