I just read today that the home of Fred Talbot,the weather man on the floating map of the UK that used to be on the This Morning TV programme has had his house raided by police.
Apparently Fred is away on holiday at the moment but the cops are investigating claims of sexual abuse at a school he worked at during the 1970's before he got into TV.
If he is guilty then along with everyone else being investigated it would appear that the 70's & 80's were times of a lot of abuse going on and no one doing anything about it.

I have an unfinished novel that has Geoffrey from Rainbow in it as a paedophile. True story. Well, I mean the novel is a novel. Though of course it's not a true story. I actually stopped writing it because the Tv did some exposé on him because he was down on his luck and living in his car or something, years ago.
