I wouldn't have been 'accusing' Jimmy Saville of Judaism sorry. I remember Robert Maxwell being buried on an angle in Israel and read that it was because he was Jewish. I googled it and apparently its a myth so thats my mistake there.

I wasn't accusing the guy of being a freemason either. Just making an observation. They are creepy though IMO.

George you're rude and i've reported you. :p

Back on serious bizniz.

Jimmy Savile Sex Scandal: Was BBC's Larry the Lamb Derek McCulloch a Paedophile?

News veteran John Simpson has claimed that the BBC gagged him when he tried to expose the behaviour of an unnamed children's radio presenter who fits the profile of corporation legend Derek McCulloch.

Simpson spoke in thinly veiled terms about a sex abuser he called "Uncle Dick", who was famous as a children's radio entertainer from the 1930s to the 60s. Simpson told The Sun that the abuser was one of the BBC's biggest names from the 1920s until his death in 1967.

McCulloch is best remembered as "Uncle Mac" in BBC Radio's immensely popular Children's Favouriites and Children's Hour and for playing the Larry the Lamb character in Toytown.

His sign-off line, "Goodnight children, everywhere", was heard by four million youngsters who tuned in to every show.

Distinguished foreign correspondent Simpson said: "Week after week, children from all over the country would win competitions to visit the BBC and meet Uncle Dick.

"He would welcome them, show them around, give them lunch, then take them to the gents and interfere with them," claimed Simpson in his book Strange Places, Questionable People.

"If parents complained, the director general's office would write saying the nation wouldn't understand such an accusation against a much-loved figure."

Simpson said he uncovered the allegations while researching the presenter's obituary in 1967. He said an unnamed woman branded the man believed to be McCulloch "an evil old bastard".

"I hope he died in agony," she added.

How did the BBC gag him though? Shouldn't that read he put his personal & financial career in front of outing Jimmy?

I'm not sure what the concequences would have been if he refused to shut up about it to police & public and built a case. We don't have the Mafia (or we do, and other organisations as allude to in this thread) so I don't think physical harm, but who knows? Would he have spend the last xxx years penniless in social exile having met a stone wall or would he have been heard?

What is the real reason, other that institutional acceptance of the crime, that he (and many others) didn't speak up more? I guess thats what we're all thinking.

" Mugabe said it b4,nyika ino yakawora..Full of paedoes and faggots.." can someone translate this?
this goes to show that David Icke can be right...he worked at the BBC...
(why didn't he say something at wogan the time he was claiming to be the son of god, while wearing his shell suit.. that's if he knew of anything of course" it really does open a massive can of worms of who knew what, who said what to who, who didn't say that to the other.
all i can say is that it's very sad that children get used and abused by people with power
at the same time the news says that human trafficking is on the increase

Maybe they don't bother to challenge these claims because a good many of his claims on other matters have been ludicrous, paranoid and blatantly untrue? The 'Turquoise Period' merely being the most infamous?

As for 'Satanism', what exactly do you mean by that? LaVeyan Satanism, which (for all its silly pomposity, ideological murkiness and outright ridiculousness) is the preserve of a handful of teenagers and a couple of LA porn stars for the most part? Or another kind of Satanism?

Satan is a medieval Christian invention. The name derives from 'Shaitan' - Hebrew for 'the adversary', and was never identified with a single individual, let alone 'The Devil'.

Icke actually touches upon some truths (albeit mostly arrived at by others and presented far more credibly) and (on occasion) displays a not-inconsiderable insight, but he's surrounded by crackpot antisemites attempting to use him to promote their own agenda. Not very nice people at all.

I agree that there is a control structure - anyone who doesn't believe so is as silly as the most ardent conspiracy theorist.

I have to ask, though, how have you arrived at the conclusion that Jimmy's abuse was in any way 'ritualistic' and not just merely opportunistic?

More to the point, what constitutes 'ritualised abuse'?

The whole control system is abusive and degrading, and acts like this reflect that fact, as do acts of violence and oppression of every kind. That's not the work of some cabal though, or even a network of them. It's a direct result of the fact that we insist on perpetuating a socioeconomic framework that stands directly in the way of human spiritual and emotional evolution and instead fosters and nurtures the least desirable and most destructive aspects of our simian genetic heritage.

Don't try and pin the blame on some imaginary demon created to scare peasant farmers into paying their tithes though, please. That just leads us on a wild goose chase that solves nothing. Meanwhile, things like this happen and we're too busy searching for a phantom with horns.

Oh alright, I admit it - it was the Jews all along.

.

David attracts all sorts of characters from anti-jews to hippies to commies to everyone basically. He doesn't say anything in particular about Jews he tends to talk more about the Vatican and banking families. It's easy to scream anti-semitism when he talks about people who happen to be Jews like the Rothschilds etc.

Satan just means the devil the opposite of God; good v evil, that is how it's used universally which I'm sure you know. You're being a bit pedantic sorry.
Icke may be a bit weird but he has some interesting theories that you can make your mind up on. People who vehemently say everything he says is bollocks are as ignorant as people who think everything he says is all true. Some of the stuff he says makes a lot of sense when you think about it, have you watched any of his presentations? As time progresses some of the stuff he says has manifested in ways. He probably does take other people's ideas and presents them as his own but I suppose he is a presenter at the end of the day at least he's getting people thinking. I think he could've made more money working for the bbc so I think he really believes in this whole movement and isn't just in it for fame or financial gain. Obviously take what he says with a pinch of salt as you should do with anything I guess.

Also you say there is no ritualism what about Bohemian Grove that sacrificial shit burning things on a pentagram etc and Free Masons? I know they do all sort of rituals in masonic lodges. I'm not saying it's all bad or all elites are bad but you can bet there is a lot of fucked up shit that goes on behind closed doors in some circles in certain secret societies etc, paedophilia is rife among elites. Cover ups, sacrifices galore look at the fucking catholic church. Some elites do actually believe in all of this ritualistic satanic stuff and believe they come into contact with a higher power when doing rituals; psychopaths are at the top of most power structures. It may be bullshit to you and me but doesn't detract from the fact that they actually believe in the stuff themselves not all of course but quite a few. Ahh that's just my opinion anyway.

This isn't Jimmy B&W. Read the post again. This guy was Head of Childrens BBC for years.

Sorry, I knew that. I just got confused in my ramblings. But the same principle applies. I still don't get how someone who's making a moral stand can be gagged unless they're got compromised morals too, or are in fear of their life. If it is purely career based then Simpson should still feel like crap imo.

When Icke was with the Greens, so the story goes, a hardcore hippy commune dweller who'd hitch-hiked from Wales to a party conference was so disgusted by what he saw as Icke's exploitation of party ideals to further his personal ambitions, he spiked him. Such was Icke's ego, the effect of the acid caused him to believe he was the second coming.

Truth or rural myth?Whichever, the man is better seen as an amusing sideshow than as purveyor of revelatory truth.

No I'm not. Not in the slightest.

How can people who don't believe in 'God' (i.e. the Abrahamic deity Yahweh, who was one of many deities worshipped in the Levant prior to 'him' achieving supremacy through the foundation of monotheistic Judaism - and a minor and pretty unpleasant one at that) be accused of 'worshipping' an antithesis that's defined by the people who believe in Yahweh?

Logic? Please?

Leaving aside the alleged 'sacrificial shit' (what, exactly?) and the fact that the pentagram is actually not a 'Satanic' or evil symbol, a 'ritual' can be making a cup of coffee, going to a football match or going to Mass.*

If you knew anything about what these Masonic rituals actually consist of you'd find most of them are actually pretty damn Christian in nature. Some are patently ridiculous. Others are straight out of a rugby club or the RAF mess room.

Incidentally, you might want to look into the history of the design of most historic churches in Britain and the role that the Freemasons played there.

There is no demon under the bed. And I hope the story about David being spiked is true. :D

EDIT: Botfly - I'm an occultist and I occasionally perform rituals of various types. I have yet to meet a single fellow occultist who believes in 'Satan', let alone worships him.

Sorry to disappoint, but evil is more often than not frighteningly mundane, rather than 'frightening'.

Have you got some sources ? Satan first turns up in the book of Job as ha Satan the Accuser. ( job 1.9) ( approx 800 BC)

Also Botfly Satan isn't the opposite of God. ( although I agree he is seen as that). He is actually, according to the bible, a fallen angel. He opposes God and accuses humanity.

Haha! I'd like to believe that it's the truth.

Yeah, learn some more about Hebrew. Then read the book again, preferably in Hebrew.

You'd then be aware that ha-Shaitan is not the name of an individual but is just the word 'adversary' (Shaitan) preceded by the definite artile (ha-). The Book itself descibes a 'Divine Council' of angels, one of whom is given the role of accuser and referred to as such. It's not the actual name of the angel. And that's the only time you'll even come close to the concept of Shaitain / Satan as a single, distinct entity in Judaism.

Even Christian scholars acknowledge this:

James Crenshaw said:
Harper Collins Study Bible[/I]]The original Hebrew term, satan, is a noun from a verb meaning primarily to, “obstruct, oppose,” as it is found in Numbers 22:22, 1 Samuel 29:4, Psalms 109:6.[5] Ha-Satan is traditionally translated as “the accuser,” or “the adversary.” The definite article “ha-”, English “the”, is used to show that this is a title bestowed on a being, versus the name of a being. Thus this being would be referred to as “the satan”.

For those with more time to spend, here's an excerpt from Do Jews Believe In Satan?, an essay by Jewish a scholar:

Ariel Pelaia said:
Satan is a character that appears in the belief systems of many religions, including Christianity and Islam. In Judaism "satan" is not a sentient being but a metaphor for the evil inclination – the yetzer hara – that exists in every person and tempts us to do wrong.

Satan As A Metaphor for the Yetzer HaRa

The Hebrew word "satan" literally means "adversary" and in Jewish thought one of the things we struggle against every day is the "evil inclination," also known as the yetzer hara. The yetzer hara is not a force or a being, but rather refers to mankind's innate capacity for doing evil in the world. Using the term satan to describe this impulse is not very common though. (The "good inclination" is called the yetzer hatov.)

References to "satan" can be found in some Orthodox and Conservative prayer books, but they are viewed as symbolic descriptions of one aspect of mankind's nature.

So as I later point out in the post you've quoted from, the word existed for centuries before the Christian concept of 'Satan' as sentient, incarnate being was introduced.

Anyway, I hear P&S covers this kind of thing better.

So... child abuse?

Thats a well written and informative post Sam. However, its not relevant to the question I asked. You said. ' Satan is a medieval Christian invention' and I asked for sources.

I read the couple of paragraphs Ariela Pelaia wrote for About.com actually*. She never touched on Medieval Christian ideas about Satan but did conclude that he was regarded as a sentient, incarnate being in Job 2.. you didn't paste that bit.

* You forgot the link. http://judaism.about.com/od/judaismbasics/a/jewishbeliefsatan.htm

But yeah... Jimmy Saville.

Oh and P.S.. I do read some Hebrew.

:)

What Sam's trying, in his kindly, understated way, to tell you, Botfly, is that he IS Satan and only his responsibilities as a modertator are stopping him from turning you into a frog.

Jimmy Savile, Derek McCulloch, Noel Edmonds (what the hell)....you gave your boys one hell of a beating.

Back on topic.
