Jimmy Savile (aka: paedo speculation megathread)

my pe teacher was going out with a 15 year old pupil from my school. he was in the paper for being a big peedo.
 
saville and charity...he did charity work...ran marathons and the like, but did he make donations? anyway, he had lots of money, he could afford to . guilt money.
i know some one who married a pupil... rumours were that sexual relations happened on a school trip when the girl was in 5th year. 20-25 year age gap. said teacher didn't get suspended or anything. only left the school when he retired.
 
A bird I went to uni with had been shagging her PE teacher when she was at school. Seems pretty common.

Yes it was all pretty common - if you were 12,13,14 breasts developing you were game apparently for sexual attention. As young girls this was never explained, nobody knew what to say about it it was never discussed. No one ever said it was right or wrong to allow men to touch your breasts or put their hands down your pants. There was no language or dialogue for this then...or now? I just happened and nobody knew what to say. If you said anything you you were in the wrong...because the terms and conditions were made up as they went along...and with young boys of the same age exploring their sexuality you can see see how this naturally happens...but men of 20s 30s 40s 50s 60s 70s... There is them ages the concept of sexual abuse of a young girl rather than a woman?
 
She was happily shagging him Kate, an 'affair' she called it. She didn't feel used or abused from what she told me. I don't think it was a case of the PE teacher forcing his hands down her pants on the shady and telling her she best shut her mouth. She was 15/16 at the time I think. Another girl I was at uni with was raped by her music teacher when she was 12, has ruined her life so far. Two completely different scenarios.

Interesting question George, I'm not sure. Reminds me of the film "The Wild Bunch" when they all go back to save Angel in the village - does that outweigh all the wrong they did?

Maybe with Jimmy being religious he thought he could cut a deal with God by doing charity work.

in my school we had an altogether odd head of music who had his own section of the school to run. me being an 'orrible little bastard and him an authority figure - we didnt hit it off. always thought he was a bit of a creepy fuck, but i left there and thought nothing else of the monobrowed one for a couple of years




..until i heard said teacher had been arrested while at school. turns out the music block toilet (which thank fuck, hadnt been built till our year had left) had a hidden camera placed into it by said creepy teacher. some girl noticed a red light while taking a shat. cue counselling

Chuck Berry had a camera hidden under the toilet rim at his theme park so he could catch the "splash"...as it were.

funny that. i just read the peel article. at the bottom are the contact details for the guardian. i've never noticed contact details for the guardian underneath an article from the guardian on the net before
 
If any young girls feel upset and traumatized after reading all this you can come and sit on my lap ;).

I agree with you Charlie. Public acts of charidee are pukey.
 
I've had to attempt to explain Jimmy Savile's place in the 'heart of the nation' prior to the emergence of this scandal, but explaining why characters like him and Glitter became famous in seventies Britain is pretty much impossible. Language barriers aside.
 
John Peel was a disc jockey. I never thought of him as a sexual example. Does his screwing 15 year olds mean he didn't pick good records after all?

Interesting recollection on the radio from an ex BBC girl about the place of women in the workplace before the 72 act. After being bawled out by the boss for complaining about Savile's groping, she and her companions, all modern women, were left feeling they'd done something wrong. How times have changed for women since secretaries accepted pinched or slapped butts as just part of the job. Why, they may even be able to obtain abortions in Ulster soon.
 
hm seems his family had savilles coffin encased in concrete at burial prior to the media furore. ostensibly to deter people digging him up in the hope his jingle jangles were down there with him





less overkill and more plausibly.. they werent so ignorant to grandads proclivities after all

Not at all, he had brilliant taste in music, and was responsible for waking a lot of people up musically. That doesn't change.
