So the last rave I went to was about a month ago and I took about a 2 month break before that. I'm going to a 2 day event this weekend and as of 2 weeks before this I've started pre-loading with vitamins. 200mg magnesium a day, 500mg vitamin c a day, and just for the hell of it some shiitake/maitake mushroom extracts. My problem at the last rave is that my jaw was practically eating itself and in the morning I could barely even hit the pipe. I've heard some people say magnesium helps the clenching. But when I google, it just says it helps you poop lol. Any info?
 
Make sure you have gum there. I always bring gum with me to raves because a lot of people don't think about it. Odd ... hah. People love me for that though, if I give away some gum! :)

But the thing with gum is don't actually chew it much. Just kind of have it there. A lot of people use pacifiers too. Never tried it but it's supposed to work!
 
Make sure you get magnesium chelate as opposed to the other type of magnesium. I can't remember it offhand.

magnesium works like a charm. 200 mg should be fine, as you take you pill or a little before and your jaw problems should clear right up, worked for me at least
 
Can't give me a pacifier. It'll be chewed up a lot worse than that poor swimming victim above! I can give ol' Jaws a run for their money! lol Tho the inside of my mouth fairs the same way, as well. What urks me the most is that I KNOW I'm doing it. I stop myself. Then forget. Rinse and repeat. It's worse on the comedown.

As above poster stated. Magnesium works fine. Couldn't hurt to try it out.

I remember I was taking daily vitamins before a rave I went to and my jaw movement was hardly noticeable, it was so nice because the next day I didn't have any sores. I'm just curious if it was just the magnesium in my vitamins or something else.
 
Don't want to derail the thread but which magnesium actually works?

People seem to say magnesium chelate is good and magnesium oxide is shit. But what about magnesium citrate? does this stuff work? Its all I could find in Holland an Barret ;)
