I haven't heard the dub VA's, but the Japanese one's were a little annoying - I think it was all part of the zaney feel they were trying to achieve 8)

haha... well..... we watched the first 2 episodes of Excel Saga last night..

Its like a cartoon with a serious case of ADD! :) Its not bad for a bit of light watching.. but Excel is like an advertisement on what its like to have had way too much speed! After a while you just wanna slap her around a bit so she'll shut the hell up =D

But the rest of it isnt so bad.. its definately zany :)

Stacyrox - Definately watch both if you can. Cowboy Bebop is my favorite series yet. Just an all around excellent series, the end of the series left me kinda hanging but you just gotta watch it because it kicks so much butt!

Lemme just end with, if I had the choice to watch only one animated series out of all I've seen I'd choose Cowboy Bebop. :)

Does anyone have Bubble Gum Crisis Toyko 2040 series??

I can't afford to buy them all, and the video shop only has the first 3 volumes...

I'm really getting into it aswell !
 
Flea' I've seen a couple it's a pretty cool show.

A couple of the episodes the animation quality goes waaaay downhill, I dunno if they ran out of money but it's kinda weird. But other than that it's all good. :)
 
BC Tokyo 2040 ain't too bad, not worth a DVD purchase for me. Get the original Bubblegum Crisis OVA's - much better :)
 
oh god what a question! *lol* ;)

If I had to pick one, and this is so hard, it would have to be Serial Experiments Lain.

A combination of imagery, dialogue and the right amount of holes sets the viewer for one hell of a mind trip into of what is and what could become. There are so many layers to it ensures many countless views. Besides, Lain is so kawaiii!!

Its followed closely by Kenshin and EVA :)

oh, I have to also add - Noir, Witch Hunter Robin, Onegai Teacher, Charcoal Feather Federation.

I heard the OVA series of BC was worse...

I'm really liking the tokyo 2040, its very similar to evangellion.

Kenshin is mad though!!

Haste, how many ep's are on a volume? (for kenshin)

im guessing 4???

I'm getting a mate to order some in for me! yay,

if you guys know anyone that works at a video shop, try to get it through them, he hasnt gotten back to me on a price yet, but he reckons $10-$15 for a kenshin volume
 
You are looking between 4 - 5 eps per disc for Kenshin.

Are those prices for ex-rentals? If they are brand new then those prices are SENSATIONAL!!
 
Nope they're brand new!! So go find yourself a friend :)

He orders them in, so he gets it at cost price. Markup on DVDs and CDs are unthinkable.....
 
Just borrowed volumes 7-12 of BC Tokyo 2040 on Tape!!

I was going to get 6, but then I used my smart smart brain, and figured I'd probably seen them... cause 3 dvd's x 4 eps = 12!

and that means 6vids x 2 eps = 12!

ah hah !!!

Though the last 3 ep's are due back today, so i gotta fully watch them all
