I went on a little binge last night and on my last shot, an hour ago, there werent any available veins that I know how to hit so, I tried to use the same vein I had hit 10 times before that night, but further down towards the wrist, still basically at the crook of my right arm. Anyways, I either slipped out mid injection or the vein was damaged/inflamed to the point that the injection leaked out into surrounding tissue. The shot contained the 2nd go around at a 10mg instant release methylphenidate, crushed, mixed with warm water & filtered. The injection site isn't red, but appears bruised, a dark brown color & is slightly itchy. I'm really starting to worry that I messed up big. Should I be this worried or is this not that big of a deal. I'm fairly new to needles and this is my first issue.
I figure this has to be a somewhat common occurrence with this ROA. Any comments or advice is greatly appreciated.
10 hours since last injection. Hasn't gotten any worse and doesn't itch anymore. I've washed site several times with soap and hot water, rinsed it with peroxide and covered injection site with neosporin. Should I be doing anything different?
Well, since the injection site didn't turn red, was a little puffy and tender, but not swollen and not radiating heat. I figured I just got myself worked up over a minor issue. Hopefully it will start getting better soon and not take a turn for the worst. I don't know why I even chose to do this. Plugging Ritalin has been nearly the same feeling as injection with a ton less dangers. I think I just went to the rig for the novelty of it.
Mod, since this issue seems to be resolving itself for the most part can you move this to Dark Side or where ever else you feel is appropriate?
