IV Coke 9 Freakin times, My arm is so busted...

So I'm trying to take a break from Heroin (snorting only).. This has been going on for a year now, but the last 4 months became very frequent. I can't afford this habit anymore, along with my boyfriend. It has become a $100 a day habit. So this is the first weekend we are spending together sober. Without Heroin I'm left with boredom and depression. So I deceided to go out and get some coke. I'm not a big fan of coke, but I heard if you IV it, its a different drug.

So I sat here all night shooting up coke 9 times!! the first time I missed, it left a bubble under my skin. The other 8 times went through because I even pulled up to see the blood. I'm left with so much fucking bruising on those large veins behind my elbow. There are 8 shots there. If I move my elbow the site feels a bit achey. Is it something I should worry about?

Oh yeah, all those freaking shots and I didn't get any rush. I felt like I just took a lot of adderall and got really calm and attentive (This ALWAYS happen when I snort coke). (I'm ADHD) I started out small cuz I didn't want a heartattack.. And then I kept adding more and more. I didn't feel a rush. How am I supposed to feel?? Some bitch told me it feels like a body orgasm.

Now I'm here all pissed with fucked up veins and I can't sleep.

Life sucks. I wish I had Heroin.

Are you saying that you missed all 9 shots? The bruising is from blood leaking around the injecting sites. Did you apply pressure for a few minutes after each shot?

Missed shots will usually heal on their own in a couple of days. If it doesn't, get it checked out. If it changes colour (apart from obviously healing), becomes more painful, the area rises, or feels hot to touch, seek medical attention.

I'd suggest laying off the needles all together. Substiuting on bad habit for another is never a good idea.

I didn't miss all 9 shots. Just one. All the other 8 seem to go in just fine, except for some areas there's light bruising.
 
pillcrazed: after i shot coke a few times it made my arm slightly sore. In a previous thread on a missed coke shot they suggested keeping aware of any more-than-slight swelling or color change as a sign of necrosis. This should hold true again.

maybe you didnt hit up enough coke at once and thats why you didnt feel the ear-ringing rush. read this thread: its one of my personal favs.........

Ahh.... such tolerance for those different than ourselves. It's refreshing to see someone so open minded. (insert sarcasm HERE)
 
It is possible to see blood when you pull up but poke through the vein so that you actually do not inject the coke INTO the vein. This is fairly common, and would explain why you got no rush. Either that or you had shitty coke/didn't shoot enough for a rush.
 
^^ I think she's saying the drug affects her differently as she suffers from ADHD... not because she missed the shot.

Anyway, PillCrazed.. you're pretty hardcore i have to say, all this heroin and coke injected... have u tried cigarrettes?
 
SO, the question that is stilll at large is does having ADHD minimize, or even reverse the effects of IV coke? I know this is true with amphetamines, but do not know about coke. Someone care to enlighten...
 
Um, has anyone on these boards gone cold turkey on heroin before? Is it possible- and if so, why dont people take the option?

I mean.... if you were to take one last hit, and right after commit yourself to some locked room or drug free program... you know you wouldnt have the option of scoring.

Am I missing something? Or does your body know what it would be like even when your high?
 
You have to be careful when IVing coke for a night, I've gotten some pretty nasty bruises because I started getting careless by the middle of the night. We actually took pictures of my arms, the before and after is rather frightening. And If you didn't feel anything after trying 9 times you are definately doing something wrong.... Or have REALLY shitty coke.
The rush is definately not like a normal insufflated coke rush.
You get the ringing of the ears, and the rush is just completely out of this realm of reality. Just be a bit more careful when IV-ing it, as it will make your veins constrict thus making it that much harder to get a good hit.
Sorry if I'm babbling a bit it's been a long day and I'm exausted.

I have attempted cold turkey kicks to no avail the cravings and physical sickness is just to intense for me to control. Call me what you will (weak) but its not the easiest thing in the world. Many people quit cold turkey and stay clean, a huge portion of withdrawl is psychological. I find detoxing with out proper meds just way to taxing on my body and mind (shit even with meds it is). Some people stick by the motto of a sort of tough love, they think that if you endure the cold-turkey withdrawls and make it thru all that pain and suffering will be a strong enough deterent to never touch that stuff again. Those thoughts float out the window when you are presented with dope in front of your face, as will power has to be strong.

Typical cold-turkey try for me:

I have been laying on the floor alternating between freezing cold shivering and profusely sweating bullets for hours. Remaing entirely still or else my stomache will start to turn itself inside out and I will be plagued with dry heaving foam and hyperventalating to try and catch my breath between upchucks. Not to mention the aches that feel as if somebody smashed my bones with a sledge hammer. Granted it has only been 18 hrs since my last shot and I will have to endure this suffering for at least a week with no sleep possible, laying in bed night after night flopping like a fish outta water staring at a spot up there upon the ceiling. Slowly that thought enters your head, "I have $40 bucks on the dresser, I know that with in seconds of procuring dope my stomache will flip and the instant cure will disapate all of my symptoms with in seconds". The thoughts starts to snowball in my head, I can but of getting clean for one more day or Ill just use enough to get my sick off, or Ill start to ween off, or Ill go on methadone and ween off that, or Ill go to the doctor and get meds and sit at home and disconnect the phone, or Ill check into rehab (blahblahblah excuses, excuses, rationalization). What you dont think about is you might be dead tommorow or that this deranged addiction will be the death of you. Shaking like a leaf on a tree in a cold windy chicago afternoon your hands clench your car keys as your one-track mind is set on its goal and you wont stop untill its accomplished.

It is absolutlely insane the amount of effort I would put into staying high, its disgusting. If I could just find something positive I could channel all that willpower and effort I used to put into dope I would be a extremely successful whatever.

Its a strange morning for myself as I am plauged with thoughts of heroin and as fuct up as it is (Pretty much clean from heroin for shit almost 8 months, but not clean from opiates as I take maintence doses of bupernorphine), I still will probably drag myself to that trusty corner and buy a couple foils of that powerful poppy and bliss my thoughts out for a temporary relief of nothing.

Considering both coke and Amphetamines play around with dopamine in the brain, it wouldn't surprise me.
