It's Not What You Know...

I don't agree with many views held by Boyd Rice but I felt it important that people know that BR is the ONLY musician Brian Eno considers to be 'competition'. Obviously BR is far less well known and maybe for good reasons. However, is it better to supress music based on the composer or to accept that the composer and the work may not be the same? I don't have an answer.

BTW you would be AMAZED by how many nations do not allow musicians with criminal records to release their work. It even has a name 'illegal music' so if you see a Russian tape or CD with the word zamesdat on it, that refers to the fact that you are invited to copy the work so others can hear it. Each nation has a name for 'illegal music' but it's apparntly quite common. I note US artists who wrote protest songs are quietly suffering linkrot.
