It's Not What You Know...



I'm quite surprised to discover that Mark Shreeve hadn't sought financial restitution because his music was the 'go to' rip-offs used in many, many, many C64 games. Highly cheesy, but I would argue part of the DNA of more recent electronic music, Don't forget, polyphonic synthesizers were new and costly and I belive that the only sampler available at the time was the Fairlight CMI and the Emu Emax both of which had extremely limited capabilities so the above track likely needed the producer to assign tracks (I asssume it was either 24 or 32 track) JUST for the samples.

Few musicians use the studio AS an instument, and although ignored by most, MS did do interesting work and LOTS of it.
