is there anything you ALWAYS WANTED TO KNOW?

basically lead petrol is just got lead in it to stop the engine "knocking".
Put unleaded fuel into a leaded car, and you will get an engine knock (after a while?)
Been a while since I gave a shit about cars to warrant this sort of knowledge.
Just did a quick search and got:
leaded fuel which has been vital in the prevention of knock and valve seat recession for the past 70 years. It also lubricates valve stems and helps prevent oxidation of the bores during storage.

What's the scientific explanation for Deja Vu? (if there is one)
(I mean, I got creeped out walking around that Pacific Fair in the Gold Coast a few years ago...I'd never been to the Gold Coast before, and certainly never to that particular mall.)
(Hmm...not really getting my point across.) What I'm trying to say is: What is actually happening in my body while I experience Deja Vu, is there a release of something, or....what? What's going on?

why does buttered toast always fall from the counter and land on the buttered side? . . .
who puts burnt matches back in the match box? . . .
peace and blessed be . . .
crow011 . . .

Q: why does buttered toast always fall from the counter and land on the buttered side? . . .
A: because the buttered side is heavier. Duh :P
Q: Who puts the burnt matches back in the box?
A: I have been guilty of it before when matches are getting low and there are situations on the horizon needing a small flaming stick. Such as a BBQ. So you can light the used up match with the lighter, then use that to light the BBQ. Plus its easier to put it back in the box than find a bin...i suppose.
Im looking for the artist who sings a song that was out about 4 years ago and is just coming back
"Remember Me? im the whore who the baby.."
"ging gagaginging ging ginga ging..." etc etc

and the real question... as cats always land on their feet, and the buttered side of toast always falls face down, will a cat with a slice of buttered toast strapped buttered side up to its back hover, rolling around in a circle a foot off the floor??
CB ;)

actually wasn't that sort of answered in some other thread? Ok well not answered but we were sure presented with some interesting theories :D Hmm I'm off to find it.
[edit: here 'tis]
I still haven't found the answer to my coffin question, when i rang a funeral parlour the receptionist laughed and said she didn't know. :(

Global, I certainly don't know the answer to this question, but i have a theory. In our universe, we have countless galaxies. My theory is that our universe is one of countless universes in a ...hmm...bigger universe. I have other theories, but won't go into it. I could be completely wrong, but it's something to think about?

Murphy's Law states that "The probability of a piece of toast landing butter side down is directly related to the cost of the carpet"

Remember Me, by BLUE BOY.
Funky track,.. BUT are they REALLY the words!??
I always thought it was "Remeber me, Im the one who had the baby.. (and something about 'eyes')" or some shit
. blah

If you put leaded fuel into an unleaded car the catalytic converter in the exhaust will melt. The cat is comprised of a honeycomb like structure made from platinum and other rare metals. Leaded petrol will melt / destroy the inside of the catalytic converter. (The cat is used on unleaded cars to remove all the toxic gas from the exhaust).
After the cat melts it will block your engine and then your up for $350 for a replacement. Granted it might not happen on half a cup of leaded petrol, but trust in the fact that its not good for the car.

Dr Karl's explanation of Deja Vu:
The standard déjà vu happens because by the time your brain processes what you are looking at it is 300 milliseconds behind. If instead of seeing the face of your loved one, you see someone else's face, some of this the informastion goes first to the reflex centre and then after your brain processes the information you are seeing something else.
Another very wordy scientific definition here.
But really it's when "they" make adjustments to The Matrix...

True, but if the cat becomes damaged, you can pull that section of the exhaust off, and smash up the honeycomb structure with a screwdriver, hollowing it out, which will fix the problem and save you the money....
...although you didn't hear it from me. ;)

yes you can do that, but then all the toxic crap that is usually filtered out through the catalytic converter goes straight in to the environment/atmosphere. so it comes down to the choice of being a tightass or not fucking with the environment so much...
but hey... tree-fitty is quite a lot of money on a student budget :D
