but now i have another question..W T F is a medicated candy?!?!?!?!!!!

i would think it's something like strepsils or cepacol and stuff like that.

whats the point in "NSFW" warnings on bluelight? you're already reading a drug discussion board at work, whats it matter if you read a thread with porn or something in it? or are my employers the odd ones out with an internet usage policy that says no drug sites?

NSFW also lets people know there are porn/nakes/dirty/sick pics coming up and if they are (possibly) offended by them won't go to the page in question so they don't see said pics flash up in front of them.

why does dog piss leave stained marks on the grass?

why does dog shit goes white when its old? is that the same thing when human shit is left outside ... does human shit go white like old shit?

No, don't even bother asking me to shit outside and find out myself. 8)

Why doesn't your tongue turn black when you drink coke, but will turn red when you have rasperry and blue if you have blue gatorade?

Because blue and red tongues are cute and novel whereas a black tongue is just plain nasty...

Don't question, just be thankful. :\

Dog piss acts like fertilizer. The middle of where the dog pissed dies because it burns, like if you put too much fertilizer on. The outer ring grows well, where it
was more watered down and not strong enough to burn it.

I suspect that dog shit will turning white is a combination of dehydration (the same way blue copper sulfate powder turns white) and a severe lack of UV stabilizers in the average dog's diet. I imagine that since you dont eat UV stabilizers either, the same would happen with your shit.

As a side note, putting an oil based suncream on the next shit you find should tell you how much is dehydration and UV. ;)

Sneezing is probably infectious because many people are allergic to the same things (eg. pollen). So when an area is contaminated suddenly, everyone affected will sneezetogether.

Scatterhead

I think they still dont know. But I believe I read something ages ago about them observing it in monkeys too. ;)

Off the top of my head, I think yawning is caused by low oxygen levels. So if a room had low oxygen, I guess everyone may become extra prone to it. *shrug*

Because the colours arent strong enough.

That helped me put study off even longer :D

I remember seeing these points a while ago. Could be true or just some pro drink water propaganda. Though i think i'll give No.8 a bash and see how i get on.

1. In many states (in the USA) the highway patrol carries two gallons of Coke in the truck to remove blood from the highway after a car accident.

2. You can put a T-bone steak in a bowl of coke and it will be gone in two days.

3. To clean a toilet: Pour a can of Coke into the toilet bowl and let it sit for one hour, then flush clean. The citric acid in Coke removes stains from vitreous China.

4. To remove rust spots from chrome car bumpers: Rub the bumper with a rumpled-up piece of aluminium foil dipped in Coke.

5. To clean corrosion from car battery terminals: Pour a can of Coke over the terminals to bubble away the corrosion.

6. To loosen a rusted bolt: Apply a cloth soaked in Coca-Cola to the rusted bolt for several minutes.

7. To remove grease from clothes: Empty a can of coke into a load of greasy clothes, add detergent, and run through a regular cycle. The Coke will help loosen grease stains. It will also clean road haze from your windshield.

8. The active ingredient in Coke is phosphoric acid. Its pH is 2.8. It will dissolve a nail in about 4 days. Phosphoric acid also leaches calcium from bones and is a major contributor to the rising increase in osteoporosis.

9. To carry Coke syrup (the concentrate) the commercial truck must use the hazardous material place cards reserved for highly corrosive materials.

10. The distributors of Coke have been using it to clean the engines of their trucks for about 20 years!

I used to work for Schweppes, so dunno if their "COLA" is the same but our factory used to have the syrup carried in the "goon" like bags (silver plastic bags) then stored in cardboard boxes.

exactly the same way a wine cask is.... dunno if this applies to coke

*edit* after reading all them points I'd say it's all bullshit :)

can anyone imagine what it does to your teeth?

Ban coke!

Now becareful here. Normal coke is bad for your teeth, diet coke is actually good for your teeth.

Your teeth and bones, like all vertebrate animals is made up of a form of mineral called Apatite. Chemical formula = Ca5(PO4)3X, where X can be a OH, F or Cl group. The different group gives you a different type of Apatite.

Now seeing all the calcium atoms in the molecule you can easily see why calcium is so important for your teeth. The F is also important in helping form and protect your teeth (see drinking water). But also pay attention to the 3 PO4-3 ions. As was said before, the main ingredient in coke is phosphoric acid (H3PO4, and can stop root rot in avocado trees by injecting into the trunk of the tree). So drinking coke increases phosphate levels, which in turn actually helps form teeth material. The increase in concentration of phosphate ions pushes the reaction towards the formation of teeth by Le Châteliers Principal.

Unfortunately the acid also lowers the pH in your mouth which can lead to tooth decay. The plaque also feeds of the abundant sugar in the coke which creates lactic acid further lowering the pH in your mouth. This can be partially counteracted by the buffering effects of various ions in your saliva such as the bicarbonate ion HCO-.

Isn't science fun boys and girls? =D
