is there anything you ALWAYS WANTED TO KNOW?

no, males have evolved beyond that.

Theres evidence that the Y chromosome is actually a mutated X chromosome (having dropped off part of the original DNA to shorten it up).

This was brought up by our yr12 Biology teacher as a comeback to giving her crap about being female (yes, we were cruel). Thankfully, I managed to find a way to turn it against her...

This might also explain why guys have a 'seam' running up their balls

what is that little cross or plus sign at the start of the title in some threads? (ie. EPL thread) ...
do these appear randomly or actually mean something?

I've always wanted to know... How they get the gerbil out of there? I mean,
I have heard that it involves lighting a match or using a cigarette lighter to create a flame though I don't know for sure. I hope somebody can clarify this for me... Preferably someone that has tried it or been in a room with somebody and has initiated or assisted in the procedure.
NOTE - There will probably be some smart-ass who will attempt to link my fascination in achieving an answer to this question with the idea that I want to acquire the answer because I am keen to try this out. And I am not.

Taken from urbanlegends.com, which in turn quoted it from a book by Cecil Adams - The Straight Dope

...
There's some difference of opinion about what happens next. Some say the gerbil somehow winds up in a bag or sack (perhaps a condom?); others say no sack is used - the gerbil simply squirms around, eventually dies of suffocation, and is later eliminated during defecation...

Linky Up!

Means there's a file attachment somewhere in the thread.

I've always wanted to know this and will buy a beer for the person that give me an answer.

At the bottom of your beer bottle, whether it be local or imported theres a series of small dots spaced differently apart. What are they? And what are they for?

They're not braille, and their different for beers from the same manufacturer.

I was bored (and curious) so I went on a serching mission. Here's the direct quote from the site I found the answer on:

Hello Digger, Can you tell me the meaning of the dots that are found around the bottom edge on many bottles- I note that these dots are in some type of sequence which differs from bottle to bottle- Thanks for your help Maria.

Hi--I have a lot of amber bottles--these are short with a square shape--there are raised dots on the bottom --some with one dot--some with three in a row--or spread out--some with four dots--almost like braille. No other markings. What are they? Gwen

Maria and Gwen, I cannot. often these markings are unique to the glass company and have meanings about lots or batches or molds. Other dots are sometimes mold vents.

Is the Roman Catholic Church the biggest shareholder of the world's weapon manfacturing companies around the world?

Turkeys...
They have this little body part - it is attached to their neck and it is normally red and dangles and looks like a miniature balloon before it is blown up. It is funny because when the Turkey glances around it swings and dangles and I've always wanted to grab it and pull it. I'm just scared of Turkeys so I have never gone out and done this.

Anyway,
I have always wanted to know what this "part" is called.

Wattle - the flap of skin under the turkey's chin. Turns bright red when the turkey is upset or during courtship. ;)

It may well be related to a decrease in surface-area between the bottom of the bottle and object on which it rests, therefore limiting the transfer of heat between the two surfaces.
Yes, I read Kitten's answer, but I wanted to add my own thoughts.

Now for my question... hmmm... Okay, why does a modem make the noises it does?
Why were these noises 'chosen' (if they were)?
I know there is a Simpsons episode where Marge's ex-boyfriend designed something that changed the sounds made by a modem but that is totally unrelated and I am wasting both my time and yours.
=D

Speaking of Turkeys, Is that true that Turkeys at commerical farms are too dumb to mate? Because farmers have been breeding Turkeys for years to produce more meat, but the Farmers forgot about the brains, as the brains gotten smaller, so they can't mate themselves? Is this true?

My old hospitality teacher told me this.....

Ohhh man. Now I want to play duckhunt. :(

As to the wattle/ waddle thing. On Ally McBeal [the most important resource in matters of this kind] that guy had an obsession with the skin under the chin of older ladies... and he called that their waddle. The accuracy or relevancy of my statement is free for debate.

Carry on.

your statement is correct up_all_night and i believe this is where i got my understanding from too.
