Just posting a question about my American friend, as no-one in my country can really answer this.

So I have a friend who lives in America. I'm from England. He keeps telling me all this shite about the state of his country... and I can't tell if he's delusional, or maybe really clever (My money's on the delusional, knowing him)
Is there any truth in what he's telling me over facebook? here's a recent chat log:

ok ill try to explain it to you
the democrats ( a party you europeans would relate to) the socialist party are at a bitter stalemate with the republicans (the small government party)
however the democrats have had an upperhand and have passed a number of laws and acts that are in and of themselves illegal to pass in the first place
for example the NDAA, patriot act, ect
you dont know what those acts are, but to put it very simple, they completely violate the entirety of the bill of rights
the bill of rights are rights guarenteed under the united states consitituion, the government has no authority over them, however theyve been very busy doing just that
now all that isnt the only problem we have here
the patriot act created "DHS" the department of homeland security
the purpose of DHS is to protect the US"s southern boarder from the drug cartels of mexico and to assist/backup local law enforcement and national guard units in the event of terrorism or an invasion
however the main purpose is the boarder, now they havent spent a single day at the boarder, not one single member of dhs has been to the boarder
dhs is under the command of the president, its the presidents personal army
which is a violation of government but thats not the only alarming issue
with the recent (many believe it was a false flag operation, as the US uses them quite often in foreign matters) school shooting and massive push for gun control the people resisted in unprecidented numbers
gun purchases exploded in this country to record highs, decades of guns/gun related items were sold in weeks, ammo is still largely gone and this is with every ammo manufacturer that imports to the US as well as all within the boarders working 24 hours a day 7 days a week
in fact for 3 months in the US a gun was sold every 1.5 seconds and thats not counting people who bought more than one gun (which is quite common)
pro gun organizations saw massive spikes in memberships the NRA in particular grew 300,000 members in 3 weeks
now the gun control advocates lost their battle (for now) however DHS is buying massive and i mean massive amounts of ammo, armored personel carriers, ect, and when the senate questions why they are buying so much they refuse to answer
the president has openly discussed using executive orders to confiscate guns from the people ( a suicidal move)
well over half the states themselves passed laws stating that if the federal government moves in to take guns the respective states national guard units are to counteract them

combine all that with the fact that our economy is crumbled to waste with zero improvement in the past 4 years, staggering unemployment, inflation rising, welfare recipients rising ( basically most on welfare are lazy fuckers who refuse to work and are paid to do nothing by the wonderful democratic party)

this is a true shit storm my friend, people everywhere here are talking about whats comming, and you see what you need to understand is the US is the only thing stopping an explosion of violent conflicts around the world, from china to the middle east. once we're busy fighting a civil war, the rest of the world will follow

our navy ensures all of europe gets its oil, our military protects not only japan, but taiwan, south korea, the phillipins, and a host of other countries.

you also need to know that the US exports a very large volume of food to the rest of the world, we wont be doing any of that while fighting a revolution, so food prices everywhere will explode as well and given the economic fragility of the european union i dont see them weathering the storm
