I stopped tobacco a few years ago and have seen a definite improvement. But when I get really high, I occasionally experience chest pains. Is that merely a psychological issue brought on by anxious thinking? Or is the increased heart-rate a bit too strenuous on the old ticker?
I remember when I first started smoking weed, and to me the ultimate experience was lying on my back, eyes closed with music playing, and getting that roller-coaster ride sensation...heart beating like crazy would only create more waves of pleasure. Now, I can't enjoy that. Even lying on my side is sometimes a bit much. Maybe I have a crap heart due to genetics and lifestyle, but I don't experience this when I'm sober.
