i've only IM'd (steroids) and thats easy because you just jap it in to the muscle. but i'd like to IV something and practice, maybe coke, h, oxy, etc. i'm just wander as long as there is no air in the syringe and i just press it through the skin into the vein is that alll i need to do?

It takes practice, but no, it's actually quite simple, and a bit of air isn't going to cause you any harm at all. With that being said, IV'ing is path you don't want to go down, please re-consider. I wish somebody had told me exactly what I'm telling you now. 5 years of my life completely wasted and ruined, all for a high that was only good for the first month or two. After that, snorting/smoking H was no worse, AND much better for your body/mind/etc overall.

IF you do decide to fuck up your life(which is all but guaranteed if you choose this path), make sure you have an experienced user show you what to do the first time, or at the very least watch a you-tube video(there are tons of them) that give you step by step instructions. Sorry for being an ass-hole, but like I said, I wish someone would have been an asshole to me when I was considering taking the next step.

no ur not being an asshole ur lookin out n thats good. i only do drugs like like every month or two (not counting weed) i've just wanted to try to IV something for the hell of it.

That's a rather bad reason to go down the IV route, in my opinion. It's pretty much a one-way street - once you IV a drug no other ROA comes close and you tend to end up shooting anything and everything. I started IVing 15 years ago and now have maybe two or three usable veins left - even hospitals can't get a vein up on me now - yet I still can't stop shooting stuff. It's easy to do but there's no going back to "lesser" methods for most folks, in my experience.

^Riiiiight.

The difference between, say, sniffing coke and banging it is fucking huge. Same goes for most other drugs. No, shooting something isn't really hard, but it does take a little practise. If you want to IV something for the fuck of it, please make a saline solution and slam that bitch. If that won't cut it, pick something like Ketamine (but have a sitter to take out the needle) that isn't going to cause a lot of problems. Granted I mainline and haven't gotten addicted to anything, but I've only been dancing with the needle since December. And Shambles is right, once you bang something, you aren't going to go back to a 'lesser' ROA. Though for some drugs like Oxycodone I don't prefer the IV route.

I agree, IVing isn't a good idea. But if you do want to do it, then be careful. I just recently started doing it (not blasting anything but water). How big is your syringe? What do you want to inject into your veins? You know how to get bubbles out, correct? You don't want to shoot up air, it'll eventually get back to you in, probably, a very horrid way. Also pills aren't the best to do because of how chalky they are.

Yes, as a matter of fact, I AM being a bit of a cunt by linking to the thread you've entitled "stupid fucking newbs."

But if you think your friends are so dumb b/c they won't listen to your good sense or refuse to educate themselves about E, try applying that logic to your own thinking patterns. Starting to IV, and carelessly ignoring the consequent risks is a lot fucking dumber than whatever it is that your friends are doing with Ecstasy..

If you want Id say shoot saline instead of air, as multiple shots of air could, at some point, cause an embolism or possibly a heart attack.
And if you want to try shooting coke, it's soo much different. I've seen people shoot cocaine and 15 minutes later they shoot it again, until their bag is gone, its horrible if you can't say no and I wouldn't shoot cocaine just to try it.

as long as you IV correctly its safe newb.

^I think you're confusing objective safety with subjective safety. IV habits destroy people's lives quickly; it's not something to fuck around with. IMHO if you go into it with your cocky attitude, you WILL get burned :\. We just don't need you coming back in a year posting in TDS asking for help.

listen i'll do a hard drug every few months. always have and never had a problem. say i decide to start IVing it, its not like i'm automatically going to start doing it more. you don't know that.

^ I 35 millionth that thought.

Is IV'ing hard.......

nah, its so easy a junky could do it. . . but really its not that hard, at first, than you will ruin all your veins, shoot into your neck in desperation, pierce your jugular and bleed out on your couch.

easy yes, safe no, smart no.

^ I 35 millionth and one that thought.

I've (ab)used up just about every vein in my body over the years - arms, legs, feet (try your toes or the soles of your feet if you want to feel pain,) hands (knuckles and - especially - palms get the pain vote there) my neck, my face and my dick to name but a few. I've currently got one working vein in the back of my knee, one in my wrist and one or two small ones here and there that blowout after every use but are still hanging in there. It really is a slippery slope :|
