Only if the dealer did something to deserve it. For example, a kid at my school ripped off a younger kid by selling him a gram of weed for 50 dollars. The kid found out and got revenge by making an anonymous call to the school that this kid was selling drugs in school.
The dealer deserved it. If you're going to pull a dick move like ripping someone off, expect that person to pull a dick move like calling the school.
In the end, I would advise against it, however. The younger kid from the story who ratted the dealer out got the living shit kicked out of him the next day. He got his face stomped on.

I have been ripped off before, as im sure most people who have spent at least a few years in the scene will have inevitably been. The guy sold me a shitload of pills that was actually a large container wrapped up super tight that contained some good old mints.. Well i found out where he lived and went around there. He told me he wrapped it up super tight cause we were going on a big road trip with them to a festival up north. Lucky i opened them a few minutes later after he left and my fucking stomach hit the floor... He had my wad and i had mints. I was fucking pissed...SUPER pissed. Rang all the boys and told them the go..
Anyways about 2 hours later ... i had my moneys back.

i don't agree with dobbing dealers into the authorities.
however, if someone gives you shit product then you should be entitled to your money back. i was sold a pill recently that made me feel incredibly sick soon after taking it. I asked for my money back and said i would be willing to comprimise for half my money back. No go. i was so pissed off i was considering giving this guy a beat down.
I think if someone badly rips you off for a large amount of drugs (ie. 20+ bunk pills), then they have to expect some retribution, but not of the kind that carries a badge.

Biggest I've been ripped off was 30 pills by a new dealer. Absolute duds, no affect at all even when my mate tripple dropped. My mate wanted to fuck the guy up, but I said we shouldn't because it was a friends friend, but I simply never spoke to him again. sent him one text saying don't deal in duds.
Point is I definately wouldn't turn a dealer over to the cops over getting a shitty deal here and there.
But I think it's actually an obligation that if a dealer is dealing something that is quite dangerous and not as it's claimed e.g PMA sold as MDMA.
First you notify the dealer:
If they continue to deal them I think it's the drug community's obligation to turn him in, (Although I have never done this) If dealers aren't worried that they might get turned in, then they won't mind dealing with shit as much and continue to do so. It's important that dealers know what comes around goes around. Plus selling one drug as something else can be very dangerous.

What about if you know your dealer is getting pipes every week and is flogging a lot of them to unsuspecting people in the city?? Causing mass people to have a crappy night and take up more beds in the emergency room...
This is the dilemma i have, my actions could cause someone's life to be saved...but is it worth the trouble?
Also i've known people who have had their own pill press and was pressing duds and selling at festivals...

Just as in school, those you claim dobbing is "unAustralian" are usually the ones who are doing something wrong. I don't think it really matters, but you can't complain if they turn the contacts list of their phone over to the police if they have been dobbed in.

I have been snitched on before and it was nothing to do with drugs and was dobbed in by someone who tried same scam as I did but got busted ... I have never snitched on anyone ... but I do like to dish out my own style of punishment to snitching dogs :D
