I did not know what "dob in" meant but after reading this thread my answer is a strong NO. WTF, how is that even a question?

Oh, and to all of the people saying that this is a stupid question, look at the amount of discussion it's caused.
It's obviously served it's purpose of getting people discussing this issue.
So stop flamming and think maybe just because in your opinion you never should, or even ask this question, other peoples opinions will vary.

You dob in a dealer for selling you shitty drugs you deserve to be the one prosecuted and butt-fucked in jail. It's got nothing to do with being a 'snitch' or any of that fake Hip Hop instigated bullshit, it's about morals. It's part of the Game that if you get sold bad shit, you deal with the money-loss/the health consequences, all due to the fact that you bought the shit and you are responsible for your own actions.

Irregardless, the dealer (depending on his ratings in the drug-lord meter) will get you (cuz most DEALERS are aggressive identities, not all, but the majority of speed/X dealers are so).

Use a fucking brain/
 
I think the police would be most interested in any information on a drug dealer like that, for whatever reason.
Especially a meth dealer, and especially (and probably because they are already suspicious) of him being a drug dealer.
 
Informers, dogs, grasses, fizz gigs... call them what you will, they are the number one reason people who handle drugs get done.

Some do it for cash, some do it to stay in business, some do it for revenge, some do it to burn bridges or escape, and beleive it or not, some do it simply for teh lulz - just to toss a cat amongst the pigeons.

Is it ok? That depends. Everyone's scaling of morality is different. However, just because one uses drugs doesn't mean one should necessarily be more prone to calling police because they beleive they've received bunk gear - there are myriad explanations for your shit being sub par, only some of which come down to your dealer being at fault, and even fewer with your dealer intentionally trying to fuck you.

One common mentality with dogs is this - its not that something went wrong AND they got fucked over, its that they got fucked over BECAUSE something went wrong, and that it was all aimed at them.
 
It's true. Person gets busted, person is offered a deal if he provides information and names, person is free, LE come crashing through your front door at 6 in the morning.

And in a small country town when some one gets busted with thousands of dollars of meth and pills, every one falls. Well, almost every one.

Does anyone remember a few years ago when a dude walked into an inner city Brisbane police station wanting to make a formal complaint because he was sold some dud gear? Was pretty big news, not to mention piss funny.

You choose to play the game, therefore by default you choose to play by the rules. It is NEVER ok to snitch on a dealer. No ifs, buts or maybes.

What if the dealer is threatening the life of you and/or your family? He thinks you owe him money or something similar?

Is it okay then? Of course it isn't ok if you have been given bung gear, everyone has been ripped off or given shit stuff at one point in time.

But is it okay to dob in dealer if the life of you or your family is in danger?
 
The subject here is dobbing in a dealer because of his drug dealing activity (whether it's legit or ripping people off). Nobody here is saying you should keep your mouth shut when a drug dealer attacks, threatens to harm, or kills someone. When this theoretical dealer does those things, he steps outside of his role as a drug dealer and becomes a perpetrator of violence.

Concur with Coolio, the code of silence ceases to exist when a dealer steps outside the boundary of simply being a dealer, and into something (that we would consider) more sinister.

Of course if the violence occurs to you personally after shafting the dealer, then you are on your own buddy!
 
I just remembered once i got ripped of years ago. Bought about 12 pingas and 10 were mdma 2 were a vitamin pill, the guy thought i didnt know what it was cos it had a letter R on it saying thats called replay. I wanted to look at the pills it was in a small box and he said naah not here man take it home. Went home looked at it and said great its the vitamin we have at home.

So i said fine then fuck u, i play fair and u play fair or we both break the rules. Ordered 15 more pills and got my massive friend with 50cm biceps to come with me. When he saw us i saw that frightened look on his face, my mate walked up to him and said mate i need the 15 can i have a look then took it all from him and walked away. The guy knew why this happened. I never ever saw that guy in my town after this incident and he lived there for like 10 years. Thats what assholes get.
 
Don't forget, dobbing in your dealer may fuck alot of other people.

Many a tough guy dealer is infact a '10 slap job' once they hit the police interview room - One slap to start them talking, and nine to shut them up.

More on topic, if your issue with the dealer is related to the product, not the dealer himself, then you're on your own. It's a pretty well established fact that stuff shipped around in the illegal drug trade isn't always of a good quality, to expect anymore is just being naive.
