Is GHB anything like E?

Anybody with experience with both of these substances have any input? I didnt know where to put this post. Thanks8o
 
I hear its similar to MDMA + Alcohol, not sure though as I have not tried it yet
 
It's nothing alike.

Maybe they both take away anxieties temporarily ... But that's all I can think about.


They both work in different ways in the brain affecting different neurotransmitters
 
^Also makes u feel closer to others.. more empathy i suppose.. and increased desire to socialise.. but i wouldn't compare the 2..
 
I have never had just a GHB night bt I have used it several times during the end of a roll. Hard to describe the feeling. Sort of like a drunk rolling buzz. It also makes you tired. It is used to induce REM sleep in the medical world. Careful how much you take as I have overdone it once. I didn't g-hole but I was close. I saw a friend g-hole during a roll and it was awful :(
 
I've done a lot of ghb research because I'm interested in trying it too- more to replace alcohol. The basic consesus I've found is that 1. It's VERY dose sensitive 2. It's more similar to alcohol in sensation than any other drug, but everyone has a very different response to it. At the right dose it's apparently fun and actually gives you energy...at higher doses you can forget a portion of your night and get realllly out of it and wind up in a coma like state.
 
I suppose when the media goes around calling it 'liquid ecstasy' you have to expect these sorts of questions.

But nah, as stated above, it will make you want to socialize (MDMA moreso) and relieves anxiety for a few hours but they're the only similarities I can think of.

Both fantastic drugs though IMO. ;)
 
IF small amounts of GBL / GHB are used (without alcohol) then they can be pretty euphoric – music sounds/feels, dancing, fun feels great on them but in a different way to MDMA.

Be VERY CAREFUL with the dose though – a few ml’s too much and its not a nice experience at all! Start with a very low dose see how you feel then try another small dose and do not try it if you have been drinking first.
 
Ah yeah forgot about the wantin to listen to music and dance.. although.. i don't get that off mdma :/ (dancin part anyway)
 
sooo overall consensus... do you guys say thumbs up for GHB or thumbs down? I've got a guy who can get it and was wondering if it was worth it. btw i hate alcohol
 
^ Thumbs up for sure, but to echo what bear said, be very careful with the dosage.

Remember, you can always take more of the drug, but once it's in your system you can never take less.

Oh and make sure you're with a group of friends that you trust, so if you blow out at least there's people there that will do the right thing with you. :)

I think thats a decision you have to make. I've heard very good reviews of GHB, I've heard some people say it's not for them. It's extremely hypocritical of me as an MDMA user to warn you that GHB is bad for you ;) Very different chemical- but alcohol causes more fatalities than both of them combined per year. I intend to try it if the opportunity arrises to give it a chance at home first (this drug can put you to sleep, or close to it).

I wouldn't say it's very addictive. Saying it can be addictive would probably be a bit closer to the truth. But fuck, any drug can be addictive if you use it enough.

As I've said before, I don't think it's the actual drug that is addictive, if anything it's the fact that you can go out & get messy for a ridiculously cheap price and wake up in the morning with little to no hangover.

Who wouldn't continue to use a drug that had those sorts of affects time after time? 8)
 
I've done a lot of bdo (1,4-butanediol which is very similar to ghb) and I was unimpressed. It's a chemically drunk feeling with more euphoria than alcohol. It's the tendency to always be a happy feeling that I feel makes it similar to MDMA, but the similarities end there.

I could take you to a thread where people would disagree with you..

It has nasty withdrawals.. you can actually die from em.. and your description of the affects are.. a bit silly? It has alot more going for it than just feeling messy. Social anxiety (infact, any anxiety) is completely blown away. Euphoria is nice, but not in a rushy im fuckin fucked kinda way, making it easy to go about your daily life while on it. It makes the most boring of things (such as work) actually really enjoyable. If you use it to go to sleep you're normally gonna wake up 4 hours later with the need to redose otherwise you've got insomnia (wait.. i'm thinkin of GBL.. but i'm guessing its roughly the same? (with slight time changes)).. and it doesn't take long before a physical dependence begins.. making coming off of your last dose a fckin anxiety ridden, uncomfortable mess out of you..
