is dmt a longer more intense version of salvia

No, their mode of action in the brain and their effects are completely different. The only thing they have in common is their power.

ho ho, hell no.
if you think dmt is the same as salvia you have a lot to learn :D

two incredibly different drugs as stated above.
i can only imagine the disaster that would occur with someone smoking dmt thinking its like salvia!

The only thing similar about the two is the duration and the immersiveness. Other than that they are worlds apart. DMT generally being considered the more enjoyable of the two, by a wide margin

Sorry The thing i ment to say is that when you take a hit will it come as fast and as strong a salvia does or does it take time to go to the pick

I've never felt inclined to even try salvia, something that scares me and doesn't even sound enjoyable is something I won't do. DMT is wonderful though..

I've only ever done salvia, a VERY strange and bizarre experience, not necessarily bad, but just so weird in how immersive and powerful it was. What is the DMT experience like?

Godly and epic and if ur addicted to cigarettes its can help u get quit if u relly wan quit. One of my good friends wanted to quit so he did dmt and since then he has not craved cigarette.lsd can do the same thing to but its much longer and different from dmt

Am I the only person who actually really liked salvia? I had a very pleasant experience in space with a huge ferris wheel, with a nice after glow. That being said, I haven't done DMT but it sounds better than salvia from people's descriptions.

Salvia: Active component = Salvinorin A, which is a dissociative.
DMT and plants containing DMT: Active component = DMT (Dimethyltryptamine), which a tryptamine based psychedelic.

Psychedelics and dissociatives are a whole different series of drugs. They are both hallucinogens but they are very very different. Dissociatives switch off the senses and filters in our brain, psychedelics enhance these senses and filters.

Both have their advantages and disadvantages. The problem with Salvia is it is commonly mislabelled as a psychedelic, dissociatives are not psychedelics, they are a different hallucinogen, just as deliriants are not psychedelics. Dissociatives aren't as "ecstatic" and "enjoyable" as psychedelics, but they are very useful from an educational and spiritual point of view. If you are looking for some "fun" and you can't get psychedelics than the dissociatives DXM, PCP or Ketamine would be better choices as they have a larger effect on serotonin release than Salvia, along with a much longer duration of action. If you are looking for an educational experience, definitely choose Salvia or Ketamine as with both of these it is much easier to "break through".

HELL NO!

IMHO salvia is fucking full of anxiety, fear, pain and fuck idk, lady salvia doesn't like me at all.

On the other hand DMT is pure love. I can't say enough good things about DMT.

In my opinion it's different for everyone, but IME they both are equally intense and last about as long. the only difference to me is that DMT feels like heaven and salvia feels like hell. But it could be the complete opposite for the next person. I'd say just from my friends who've done salvia, like 1/4 or 1/6 people enjoy salvia. while about 3/4 thoroughly enjoy DMT.

DMT is a 20 minute trip to heaven. Salvia is a 20 minute trip to hell.

Everyone is different. It's interesting that this thread popped up here because I was just talking to my boyfriend the other day (after my first DMT trip) about how, in some ways, it reminded me of salvia.

I found it much better and more enjoyable than salvia. No doubt.

But there were definite similarities there, in the way I felt and the visuals I had during certain parts of the trip.

That said, my salvia experiences, overall, seem a bit unique when compared to most peoples. I have never had a scary or bad experience with Salvia. It's not euphoric but I wouldn't consider it unpleasant either. Definitely not "hell". Just... weird. Parts of DMT were very weird for me too, almost scary.
