Is Bluelight dying ?

This place isn't dying. The world changes. So do people. The virtual world changes faster than I can comprehend.
 
It's probably dying due to the fact drug users are becoming more and more weary about posting on an open forum.

I'm guessing not that many operate vpns or consider their privacy much. The ones that did probably left for the DNM's.

I was just posting in another thread about why i think bluelight is as valuable a harm reduction (and general drug) resource as it ever was; we have reports from around the globe about a range of really obscure novel psychoactives - and discussion of those reports from all types of people, from consciousness-alteration enthusiasts (that's a euphemism for "psychonauts", "tripped out heads" or "drug pigs") as well as people with backgrounds in medicine, chemistry, pharmacology - all kinds of fiends.

Well I am now apparently an 'old timer' and its two years since I posted on here. Maybe the ebb and flow of Bluelight is a generational thing and also, obviously, various check points in life providing gateways to a shift in direction? There are so many other social platforms out there now although I have never come across one so focused on a primary purpose.

I am posting in response to the original question, I note this thread has got so massive; I have not read through it all as I fear it may be like wading through custard and off-topic here and there.

I have always sensed Bluelight to be a safe and reliable place to check in now and again should I need information. I hope Bluelight does not die however I do not think it will, it may spread more thinly due to ever expanding alternatives but that is not to be confused with a visit from the grim reaper.

Wow! It's good to be back. With the passing of time it's feeling very homely in here for me now.

Whyyyyy is it so quiet!!? Not enough drugs being consumed. No banter. Its like another site since 2011 with evad god rest his soul and whore as mods. Before shambles played out his plan for the forum as the way he wanted it. What we ended up with was a load of sorry sacks loners life experience who spent all their time in doors infront of a computer snorting mdpbum me type drug with utter insanity as rising as the people who we take advice from.

In reality that is not a successful drug user or someone who's actions promotes smart HR. Pretty much all the mods RC Guinnea pigs or too tight to jusy buy drugs, or do something, anything, something that gives you a buzz in life..

If you put Treacle SHM as moderators it would be more fitting. They actually have lived full lives been there and done it. I know neither would be keen but think of evad / Dave and think of what he would think of this place now? This place used to be booming and people could take s bit of tongue and cheek or home truths if necessary.
 
This thread is in rude health if nothing else. Things wax and wane, that's the nature of things.

You really have to wonder about this server business. It is soooooo irritating. In the new america I have become so paranoid that I get suspicious of everything.:sus:
 
Well, I guess by definition paranoid means at least bit far fetched, but ever since my email got hacked and my entire life online seems like one big glass house with a million eyes staring in, I see everything even slightly different as cause for suspicion. And what is different is not so much that we have that many more users but we have that many more spammers IMO. Spammers are innocent enough but in my paranoid state I see it as an attack on the site.
 
I don't get it. My redundant shit post in the EADD-RC-thread is top for 20 minutes (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!). I don't get it, because I cannot fathom, how anyone could prefer another alternative culture - platform over BL.
 
Ive always thought EADD was a pretty cool place. whatever happened to the football thread?
