I am just wondering, I read that it is normal, but I just wanted to make sure... but after IVings into a vein , getting a small bump at the spot is normal right? Its not huge or big or anything, its on my hand because I had a friend show me how to do it the first time anf he did it, then the second time I got it without a problem in my arm, but the third time I had troubles and the fourth, last... i couldn't get it to register ( get blood to come into syringe), so i just looked at my veiny hands and did that and got the blood quickly.. but was just wondering if the small bump is normal.
Also. what is it that I could be doing wrong that I couldnt get it to register in my arm? I definitely did it where a vein was, I even used a tie to make it more apparent, but still I couldnt get blood to come out that way.. why? Am I doing something wrong.. what could I be doing wrong? Is it the angle.. or what.. is the very important for the angle to be a certain way?
But mainly i just wanted to make sure the bump was normal. and I am fairly sure it is normal.. and I also read there is no problem with using your hand if you can't do it in ur arm, its just the veins are thinner, and harder to hit and closer to the skin.. other than that, its safe right?
