emails from gallery

when i opened the email address i have registered with BL this morning, i had 7 messages from the gallery crew. they were all addressed to my email addy, but not specifically to *me*.

seems to be a technical glitch and just wanted to bring that to your attention. the emails were supposed to be sent to rechosis, darkmoonlight, and frustrated.

As skydancer already explained, this is a known bug with the PhotoPost software that will be solved in the next upgrade.

gallery query

hi there

i noticed just now, in the gallery, on the individual photo pages,
there's an item "filesize" which is followed by two (different) file
sizes. why two numbers?

Hmm that address shoudl work. I'll look into that.

The two file sizes are because there is a larger and smaller version of each file. When you first view a pic it is a standard size. Then if you click on the image, and the original is larger than the standard you can see the larger version.

Does this make sense?

yep - i guess i just got confused because the 'thumbnail' is actually quite large. most of my pictures are around the 100k mark and the 'thumbnail' is often only 10k or 20k smaller.

there is no limit to lines on the gllery pages, there should be a limit on lines, like when posting a thread....
otherwise it goes on forever....

eg instead of....

it's quite easy for one of the mods to remove a comment that screws up the formatting. hopefully there won't be too many jackasses doing it on pupose.

Hey, you're right, the usual vB breaks long words and the Gallery doesn't.

We'll submit this as a feature request. Perhaps they will add it in the new version.

gallery link wont open

when i try to open the gallery, the bar goes all the way to the end, but the page never loads.
All the other links at the top of the page work fine, it's just the gallery.

It used to work for me, I have no idea what's going on!
please help!

It can take a long time, but it always opens for me.

I'm just hitting the link at the top of the page, so it aint the spelling, and I just left it for 10 full minutes and it just won't open. I know dialup is slow, but this is something else!
The bar on the bottom of the screen (IE 6) gets almost all the way to the end, then just stops.
The title bar of the window says the gallery, but the page remains blank. I have no idea why, since every other aspect of BL is working just fine for me!

I feel your pain, brother. It always takes ages for me, so there definitely seems something wrong.

What happens when you log out, and when you cleared your cookies, and when logged in on a different browser?

We will relay all the information on to the authors of PhotoPost.

I just:
logged out (cookies were cleared)
closed IE6
opened IE6
logged in (yes, BL is my homepage )
clicked 'gallery'...
.....and it happened again! It's still just sitting there blank
