Interesting occurrence on LSD

This account is of something quite interesting that happened to me about 15 years whilst taking LSD.

I had just moved back to my home town and didn't know many people. At that point I was relatively inexperienced in drugs. I was used to smoking weed regularly and had done a couple of LSD trips at university. A new friend I made at work invited me to go round one weekend to his mates house to take some acid. I was a bit apprehensive as I didn't really know the people but I am a fairly confident sort of person and figured I could probably keep it together, besides if I ended up not enjoying their company I could just wander off and trip on my own.

I got there about 7pm and we all dropped 1 tab pretty much straight away. At that point we put some tunes on and sat down to play a board game while we were waiting to come up. After about 30 mins I could feel the slight beginnings of my perception shifting. It was then that the weird thing happened. There was a fly in the room that was buzzing over the board and generally doing all our heads in! At one point I decided to grab the fly and kill it and as I made the decision it was as if time really stretched. I wasn't looking directly at the fly, rather I was looking down at the board and the fly was above me. Somehow I could clearly perceive the position of the fly as it swooped down and flew behind my head. It was at that moment that I instinctively reached out and grabbed the fly enclosing it in my fist. The weird thing was that the fly was still way behind my head when I did this and I did the whole thing without taking my eyes off the board. The fly was the sort of black house fly that is normally a nightmare to swat with your hands when you are looking straight at it. It was like a full-on ninja reflex moment.

Needless to say the rest of the party who had never met me before were like "Holy fuck! What did you just do? Are you a fucking martial arts freak or something?". I'm not and in a normal state of mind the chances of me catching that fly in that way must have been 1000:1 but some how the LSD slowed time to the point that my reflexes, just at that point on the come-up, were incredibly acute. I think it just goes to show that the mind is capable of some pretty amazing things if we could only find a way to tap into that potential, (for something a bit more useful than catching flies anyway).

:D How did you dispose of it and did you just forget about it once it was gone?

thats an awesome first impression. i would have bowed down to your great ninja reflexes! Mr. Miyagi is what i would call you! haiiiii!!!!!!
"Man who catch fly with chopstick accomplish anything. "

Yea, all your senses are improved, so you can ear much better the fly and your brain on lsd can perceive it much better.

For me it's more eyes improvement, with high dose of acid, my eyes can without any blurring on the corner of my field of vision. I've got a better vision at about 300%, I see each movement of each person and each details of anything.

Crazy lsd... ur like an ÜBER-MAN

On acid at night at burningman, i swear my eyesight became eagle-sharp, and i could see further away than I could before. It was amazing, I could see all the way across the playa to the camps way out in the distance and make out small details. Man that was some good stuff.

That's most interesting. For me, I think the sense most improved is my hearing. However, I seriously doubt I'd have been able to do that either.

Still though, if I'd have seen that kind of thing happen on acid, I would have been amazed too. It seems like any time I take acid, strange things like that seem to happen.

Awesome report man! It's strange when your 'animal' instincts surface via psychedelics:)

That's really badass. The last time I tripped I tried to "swat" a fly but just ended up sort of punching myself in the face... Luckily I'm puny and it didn't hurt too bad. I am still but a grasshopper to your zen master.
