indeed, anything by chuck palahnuik, my fav is "Lullaby"

I'm a HUGE Palahniuk fanatic. My favorite is Survivor, with Choke a close second. I absolutely love his social criticism and writing style.

I'm also a big fan of Bret Easton Ellis, perhaps my favorite is Glamorama.

...kinda diverse, but:
  • Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance (bio/philosophy/social commentary)
Understanding Comics (art history/lit. crit.) (one-of-a-kind)
    A Wizard of Earthsea (fantasy)
    Trainspotting (fiction)
    Snowcrash (sci-fi) (with attitude)

Hermetics by Franz Bardon-----so exquisitely perverse and fascinating and thorough and succint and UNPUTDOWNABLE.

this is by far the best memoir by a celebrity i have ever read :
Haywire by Brooke Hayward - and I quote : "A Hollywood childhood memoir, a glowing tapestry spun with equal parts of gold and pain. As a book it is an absolute beauty - with all the charm that term implies, the deceptive simplicity, the complex hidden machinery and above all, the terrible cost. " This is one of those rare books that seem to alter your perception of things forever.

The Holographic universe - Michale Talbot. This book is very good, but be careful of the usage of pseudoscience.

Zen of Listening - a book about listening to others from a zen perspective.

zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance - a classic must read

the 48 laws of power - fantasic book for that powerhungry egocentric part of you. Great for defending yourself from such personalities as well.

Power - the modern original analysis of power dynamics

Hyperion - Dan Simmons

Midnight Tides - Steven Erikson

Book of the New Sun - Gene Wolfe

Farenheit 451 - Ray Bradbury

Mainly all Sci-fi. Quite interesting reads as well, especially the Gene Wolfe one and Simmons one as well. Also very entertaining.
