Hey man. Thanks a lot for the help. It stopped hurting 4 days after I had my last shot there. The pain is gone now :) I'm so glad, it was really freaking me out bc I couldn't figure out what the hell it was. It was like 4 or 5 inches down my arm from my crook. Like right in the middle. No reddness or swelling. So weird. But its gone now thank god. I have a really strong immune system so I was surprised. I've never had an abcess from 4 yrs iv. I use rigs like 20 or 30 times each bc I'm so poor. But that's the life. The only bad thing I had was pericarditis, I have no idea what happened there but it left me w a 40k hospital bill. Ouch. And then my legs fell asleep for like 4 days. I couldn't walk. Not sure what happened there either..lol.
Anyways, I appreciate the help man. Always nice to see slammers helpin eachother out. Have a good one!

Hey man, not trying to be condescending whatsoever, but being poor/broke is absolutely no excuse to use the same syringe TWENTY to THIRTY times. Look at this image of a syringe after multiple insertions under a microscope.... I can't even fucking imagine how the rig would look after even ten re-uses. NEVER re-use a syringe, no matter WHAT your financial state of being is. If you can't afford fresh points for EVERY single shot, or are unwilling to go to a needle exchange / safe injection clinic and trade in your dirty needles for fresh ones, FREE OF CHARGE, then I am honestly speechless. And again, I am not trying to judge you or talk down to you, I just literally don't know how to comprehend in my mind what words to say to you to get you to understand just how serious reusing a needle even ONCE is. The risk of contracting a pathogen or something horrible like MRSA are so high, I can't even calculate just how astronomically dangerous your IV technique is.

When your legs "fell asleep" for four days, i'd bet almost anything that the reason that happened was your lack of harm reduction in your IV technique caused particulate matter (Im guessing if you can somehow justify to yourself that you are poor therefore you should/would/could use a rig thirty fucking times, that you also justify not using anywhere near proper filtration devices) due to lack of HR and blatant disregard or apathy regarding whether you live to see Christmas.

By choosing that you aren't worth going out of your way to protect yourself against lethal ramifications, and choosing not to use sterile equipment with a 0.2um micron filter caused you to inject insoluble cuts/adulterants/binders/bacteria/viruses/fungal/infectious diseases directly into your circulatory system, bypassing EVERY self-defense mechanism that your body has, and that those small particles traveled through your veins until they got clogged in smaller blood vessels such as those in your extremities/arms&legs.

You are lucky to be alive Seanimial...

I'm surprised you didn't have any respiratory issues due to the cuts clogging up your lungs to the point where your heart couldn't get enough oxygen to your organs & couldn't release enough Carbon Dioxide resulting in Pulmonary Edema, fatal blood clots or a STROKE.

PLEASE TREAT YOUR BODY WITH THE RESPECT AND LOVING CARE THAT YOU KNOW YOU DESERVE.

It's not often that I see a post that makes my jaw drop and my chest tighten like your post did. PLEASE reconsider whether shooting up is worth losing limbs or your life, and if you are still going to shoot up, if you do not have a clean needle and a clean micron filter, You do not have the necessary materials with which to perform an intravenous injection.

Think of it as if you had none of the drug you're slamming. If you don't have EVERY piece of HR equipment to try and reduce the risk of killing yourself either today or randomly in the future when you least expect it, you do NOT have what it takes to perform an injection. For your own health, you should safely and IMMEDIATELY DESTROY every syringe after you use it ONCE until you get in the habit of realizing what you're risking by ignoring these CRUCIAL harm reduction tactics.

If I had heroin/crystal/dilaudid/cocaine/whatever your drug of choice is, it doesn't matter, If I didn't have a clean needle or a micron filter, I would choose to not get high. I would rather be sick in withdrawals or use a less dangerous route of administration even if you didn't get the effects that make you shoot up in the first place. To prevent dope sickness, (which pales in comparison to what you are risking by disrespecting your body the way you have been doing) I would much rather use the nasal/inhaled/vaporized/oral or rectal route of administration and get less high than even THINK about using a dirty needle, even if you are the only person who has used it.

PLEASE. Im begging you to take this seriously. You have no idea just how lethal your lack of harm reduction IV technique is and how much harm you are causing to your body. I can't imagine your veins lasting a month the way you are abusing drugs, and I honestly think that you should consider just how lucky you are to be alive and haven't contracted Hepatitis, MRSA, or something even worse.

NO ONE IS TOO POOR TO JUSTIFY REUSING A NEEDLE. IF YOU CANT AFFORD THE NEEDLE, YOU CANT AFFORD TO GET HIGH. PERIOD. <3

^^ get a life man it's his body not yours and I do agree fresh points are preferred obv and it's obv not good at all to use them 30 fuckin times but wow you went way over the top you coulda nicely in one paragraph explained the damage he was doing and recommend something he would realistically do like try not to use a needle for than five times and filter souloutions twice if he's useing normal cotton like that's my advice realistic advice that he probably would actually do because he's able To do that. Not everyone has money for microns ad gas to get to a needle exchange that could be hours away for all you no . It makes me wanna puke how snobby you are your a prick Man U think ur so much better but your not your just another piece of shit junkie like the rest of us

I've got an area on my lower forearm/wrist, between 2-3 square inches that's swollen. A nurse in the ER did this, it wasn't missed, as I was able to inject more volume than typical without any burning and injecting didn't cause any additional puffing, my wrist just swelled as the needle was inserted. Any ideas what would cause this? The nurse was confused, and we were just more concerned about getting my med into me, plus I already had a bruise about an inch above another puncture from where the IV start was unsuccessful. That was one much higher up my arm, a few inches down from my elbow crook so it shouldn't have caused a problem.

I've called the needle exchanges to see what my options are, they don't even butterflies, let alone give me selection. I brought my own needles, it doesn't matter, in the ER they like the big ones, at least they saved me my sites in my hands this time.

sorry man, im a heroin addict with no money or transportation. i have to use what i've got. no needle exchanges. you can't really justify that you're not trying to be mean just by saying "im not trying to talk down to you". though your post WILL make me think twice about it. and now my anxiety is pretty high up and im feeling like my heart is starting to hurt again like i have an infection. (all in my head.) thanks, i guess. :sus: and i guess the fact that you typed it out shows you care, or else you just would have thought to yourself how stupid i was and how you hoped i would die. :)

I've only lost 1 or two veins from 3-4 years ~daily IV. (though my veins have shrunk a LOT so its hard to find ones i havent even hit.) I don't usually use rigs 30 times, and i probably only used it 10 - 15. that was a very highball just to get the point across about the current situation.

anyways, back on topic - that stupid pain happened again. it seems to happen every time i hit that particular vein a couple times, no other veins. ill have to attempt to find new veins in my arms, as i refuse to inject in my legs for fear of DVT. (youre thinking: so weird! scared of DVT but not afraid of infection/fungal/bacterial/abscess/etc! what a guy!) I can't find info anywhere on the internet about this, and last time it went away in 4 days, so i suppose its no cause for alarm. BUT since you seem to be such a pro on the topic Tri, any idea what it could be? pain not at injection site but halfway down forearm, seemingly coming from the same vein i IVed in, just not the injection site... minor pain, no redness, no swelling, no hard vein, only hurts a bit when i stretch out my arm and my hand (hand stretched backwards so my arm and hand form a right angle of sorts) gets less painful every day.

summing up,

i know you are just looking out for me. from typing even this post, i can see how much time you put into it. thank you. it is not falling of deaf ears, as im sure you thought it would when you typed it out. it may seem crazy to you, but im really in a position where i cant buy new rigs every time. i will try my very best from now on. im not getting micron filters though, i cant have them sent to me and i dont have a credit card. (DEBT!) (60K!)

much love to all for helping and writing.

by the way, blueIV, this happened to me on my hand 2 days ago. it is gone now. im thinking maybe a leak of blood from the vein? thats my only guess. all i can tell you is that it went away no problem. im sure yours has too.

cheers

sean

It's actually a huge bruise now, more just keeps showing up. It doesn't hurt anymore, and at least it's pretty faint but the area is just huge, it wraps from the underside of my wrist to the top and one side of my arm about 8" long.

It looks much worse than what it is. Based on the swelling, you would have thought we missed an entire large syringe full, even though nothing had been pushed yet. It didn't hurt anywhere near as much as a missed shot does. My best guess is a small blood vessel was hit that caused a bit of internal bleeding, but I thought that would have caused dark bruising much sooner, so I'm not really sure. My only other guess is a lymphatic vessel but I'm really not familiar with that, so it's just pure speculation.

So I had a shot of ice ( only 3points) which is a small hit for me, anyways everything was new and clean and I used in my left arm then the next day my right hand had a burning sensation an a kinda numb feeling and still does, any thoughts on what could have caused this would be much appreciated

The needle could have pierced nerves but I think what's likely is some of the solution leaked out due to the caustic nature.

3 points is not a small dose; if that's what your tolerance is at, you need to take a break or possibly stop using all together.

Yeh mate I can stop on my own, ice is really not my first choice of drug, but when I busted after being clean for years it's what I use to keep me off the gear, may sound strange to a lot of people but it's what works for me but now it's time to get my body back to a healthy state and get my self outta this dark place, life will be great again

Okay guys this is worrying me now. My arm still hurts and its been 5 days. Before it went away in 4. It only hurts when I extend my arm and my hand baxkwards in a 90 degree angle. The injection site is not the source of the pain, its 5 inches lower where it hurts. No noticeable swelling redness or anything. Doesn't hurt when I push on it, only hurts when I extend my arm and hand backwards....help? Anyone? Before it went away quickly.

ALSO, maybe worth noting, it hurts considerably MORE when I hold my arm upwards over my head and extend. What could it be???

You should probably go to a doctor, there's not much we can do for you an an internet forum. You don't want to lose feeling, or lose a limb if it's that bad.

Plugging/IV Heroin

I've been snorting all of my H with the exception of smoking it once (complete waste) and about 20 minutes ago I plugged a small amount of white powder. I put it in a spoon added water heated it and sucked it into a syringe and administered the dose. I didnt have any high hopes for such a small dose but just now it hit me realllll good. I used about 1/4 as much as I would have snorted to feel anything and it was totally worth it. I would recommend this ROA for anyone. With my last little bit before I finish experimenting with H I wanted to try IVing. Could anyone give me preperation tips for this roa?
