Haha, touche! I think the reason I find myself eyeballing everyone else's veins is because I have world's tiniest veins & they're a bitch to hit. My boyfriend has amazing veins that pop out asking to be poked and I'm so jealous! He could prob hit a vein with his eyes closed, no shit.

Ugh my boyfriend has amazing veins too and it's so frustrating when I'm trying to hit and he's already sitting there drooling on himself. I yell and kick him out of the room for that a lot. LOL

That's me, to a T. He's always saying "did you get it yet?" ever 2 seconds & I'm like "hey asshole, you'll know if I 'got it' ok?! " haha.

Maybe you ladies should let your BF's help instead of berating them for getting off. An extra set of hands is actually quite handy in the injection business, especially considering they can hit veins you have never touched before.
 
I've tried letting him help but I'd get so aggravated when he'd miss, it would end up causing an argument & the last thing I want to do is make him mad when he's got a needle in his one hand & my arm in the other, lol. Any suggestions on helping veins become more visible?

He's not very good at hitting me. My veins don't pop much, they are really not visible and I have to dig quite a bit. On top of that he always wants to do his first so by the time he'd try to hit me he's falling asleep drooling and it makes me even more annoyed. LOL...

Some chics are just stubborn as hell. My ex would rather sit and bleed for an hour trying to hit herself then let me do it. I'd have to wait until she started crying from the frustration for her to finally just give me the rig and let me tag her.

Don't let high people shoot you up. Learn to do it properly yourself. How I learnt (this isn't good advice, this is just what I did) was got a big box of saline vials, a 200 box of 29 1/2 gauge insulins, and put on iggy pop on repeat and just practiced for about 3 hours with no drugs.

That was the last time I shot more than half a gram.

I don't anymore and I learned that the hard way. The last time someone high shot me up he pulled the needle out at a fucked up angle and a fountain of blood shot out of my arm. I've never seen that happen and it scared the shit out of me. I've been shooting up for almost 8 years and my problem is that I've used basically every vein I can reach and don't have many left. I'll usually get it eventually but it can take well over an hour at times. Usually my first shot is easy but the shots after that are near impossible.

Feels good though when you do this. Shit if I met a young attractive woman who was into injecting but ok with me fixing her shots i'd be back in the game in no time. I mean is there anything more romantic than you shooting her up and her shooting you up? (there probably is , flowers?...)

I know what you mean man. My ex fiance and I would hit eachother at the same time. Then she got weird one day and had me do half a shot and she took the rest so she could "always have me in her". I'm O+ and she's A+ so its cool. Strange yet romantic in some way. The trust you give your partner is similar to that of sex.
 
IV Suboxone- Wtf Happened??

I've looked everywhere for info on this and haven't been able to find it, so if this is a duplicate I apologize... I've been IVing for years and I've never seen this happen. It didn't make any sense to me. I know suboxone can act a little weird when injecting sometimes, but I have no idea what to think about this.. I hit the vein on very the outside of the crook of my arm. I got a beautiful register, one of the best I've seen in a while but when I pushed the plunger in it burned like hell just like a miss. So I checked it again and it was still registering great so I said screw it and went with it. I got a nice little rush and I tasted it like when you taste a good shot of coke, so I know I got it. But my arm still swelled up and was a little sore like a miss. At first I thought maybe it was a partial miss, but I felt way too good to have only gotten part of it. Suboxone isn't like a lot of other stuff, it doesn't work it's way into your system with an IM hit like most other stuff, so I'm pretty sure that if I had missed any of it I wouldn't have felt that good. I thought maybe I tied off too tight and it was pushing some back out of the vein, but still, I wouldn't feel as good as I did. So I tried hitting the same vein today, and I didn't tie off nearly as tight and today it burned worse than yesterday so I stopped after 5-10 units and decided to try somewhere else. 30 minutes later my arm swelled up really big and was really tender to the touch. Missing 5-10 units normally wouldn't do that.. at least it never has with me before. It's been 4-5 hours since then and most of the swelling has gone down but it's still pretty tender. It seems like suboxone is a lot harder on the veins than other stuff, but this just seems a little odd to me. Has this happened to anybody else? I guess my main question is, what the hell happened?! And how can I prevent it from happening again?
