I was just wondering, when a seed site says that a certain plant yields 500-600g/m2, is that talking about right after harvest? I mean, I read an article that said that Super Lemon Haze can have a yield of 1000g per plant outdoors, but am I to believe that I would really get nearly 35 ounces from one harvest, or is that uncured, undried weight? And if so, what would that 1000 grams turn into once cured and dried?
Really, it depends on strain, growing conditions, but also very important is
how long the plant is left to veg for (we are talking indoor here).
To take your strain you mention for example (Super Lemon Haze), I grew one of these plants indoors with the following specs:
1. Vegged for 50 days
2. Topped at 20 days, above the 3rd node, resulting in 3 main colas and 3 large, secondary main colas (I'd advise to top above the 2nd node, but I screwed up)
2. 420w of CFLs (around 35 000 lumens)
3. Soil grow
4. Proper Nutrients + black strap molasses in flowering
5. Additional CO2 added in last half of flowering (not sure if this added much at all, but nonetheless I did it)
This plant got me 7oz of dried & cured bud.
So really, it just depends on many factors. If you really put a lot of time and energy into one plant, the results can be great. Since all my product is for personal use
only, and I only go through a gram a week tops, one plant's yield will go a longggg way.
(If you want more info on growing this strain, I have a detailed grow journal on rollitup that I can send you the link to)
