"humans and life in general are not special"???? "our only purpose is to live, reproduce, and die"??? lol geez geek.. is your life that miserable? while you do make some valid points to which i agree, most people (except maybe those requiring prozac, etc) would disagree that we are only here to live and die. just a general question to you- you are wanting to be an attorney. why?

no my life isnt that miserable... i am just a realist. i understand that in the greater scheme of things my existence here isnt anything special. whether i am alive or not, the planet will rotate, and the sun will come up tomorrow. for the most part, i enjoy living my life. it is filled with tons of laughter and learning.

why do i want to be an attorney? three words: money and power. understanding that rules that govern a setting grants you an increased ability to operate in that setting. also, the idea of making 70 grand or more at the age 25 sounds fairly dope. the law is also predicated upon the rules of logic. it typically requires that issues be discussed based upon facts instead of moralistic or emotional grounds. i say typically, but with religious freaks like g.w. in the whitehouse, there is always a chance that stupid shit will make it through the legislature and the courts.

i do not want to be an attorney to protect the little person or any stupid shit like that. i simply want to make sure that the law cotinues to be consistent, fair, and logical.

oh yea, and fuck the little guy. we should have stuck with the theory of social darwinism.

oh yea, and dont take my last statement as being naive and not aware of the inequities in the law. nothing is perfect, but an ever evolving system of rules based mostly upon logic is much useful that a stagnant system of rules based upon the commands of an invisible person.

maybe i just dont feel a connection to humanity as a whole because i perceive most people to be unintelligent, fanatical, and generally worthless.

oh, btw, out of curiosity, why not start at 9pm and go to 3am?.....gotta make the music last, know what i'm sayin'?

10 pm- 2am

Mr. Show -- We would've liked to go at 9 -- I agree with you, but the bar didn't. I guess they don't officially open until 10. I even asked about 9:30 -- nope. SO, it is what it is.

Seth - HA!

Physix - Ha ha! those people are gonna make a lot of money.

Geek - good luck, the way you deliberate you prolly could be a good trial lawyer. The 'bar' is a pretty tough test. You can do it! I have confidence that if you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything!

How 'bout everyone have an excellent weekend!

nAte

i can only show up at a bar at 9pm if there are free drinks.

otherwise, it just aint gonna happen.

$FREE BEER$

Hey, EternalX - I will show up at 9 with you, if YOU are going to buy me some beer ;) -- If not I will be there around 9:45 - and prolly have to pay for my beer :(

I am sharpening up my pool game and will be ready for the challenge.

i think they'll be awarded an assload (ptp)
of money... but most of them won't see it... and
if they do, it'll be pennies to the dollar.

altho' normally i'm not a fan of suing churches
and hospitals, in this case.... well.... you know...

the Universe functions with myriad of methods

thanx for the nice comments...by the way...for those who are confused over what I was saying earlier...to me tribe is family....not to be confused about the "tribal" contained in my music...yes, I tend to use a lot of tribal elements in my music (organic instruments and sounds and tribal drums and rhythms, even chanting from, guess what? tribes of people...) but if you had ever listened to me play you would already know this....I stand by my previous statement that I spin funky TRIBAL house music that to me is highly spiritual, to others uplifting...but all in all it is POSITIVE. now go ahead geek, this is normally where you take my words, confuse them, and plug them into your own meaning. I do not care if you understand me or not. you have a different point of view, great, that is fine. For you to attack my point of view because it is different than yours is against the very grain of what I believe in, and it shows absolutely no respect on your part for individuality or personal beliefs. It seems obvious to me that you just like to stir up reactions in people, out of what boredom? because I have yet to come across something intellegent or thought-provoking that you have to say. "spread the negativity" seems to be your message, there is enough problems in this world already, why actively participate in creating more? because you can? I can't imagine being so miserable that you actually get kicks out of bringing other people down. It is impossible to agree with everyone about everything, but you do not need to cut down, be cruel to, make fun of, or ridicule anyone or their ideas. We are not in grade school, we are adults, and maybe, just maybe, it is time for some of us to start abiding by the rule, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you"...
much love and ReSpEcT....Serendipity

can't wait to see everyone on December 9th!

I have one statement to make. This is from my (logical, atheist, science driven belief system) point of view. This is a tale of a undesired journey I took to the serendipidous one's former residence.

I arrived at residence, somehow, a conversation broke out about a man living his whole life (from the age of 6 I believe) without drinking water or eating food. Serendipitoiuoius one claimed she heard/read/saw this article/tv special/halucination?? and she believe that "it could actually happen". Of course me being a logical, atheist, science driven believer protested the claim. Saying that in no way shape or form this could happen ever (hellllllo!!!! mc fly, are you in a cult, brainwashed by experiences) obviously. Serineidduoud one went ON AND ON AND ON about how again, it was possible, because "anything is possible". So I immediately grabbed my conscience, boyfriend, coat, and ran as fast as I could in the opposite direction. end rant. Thats my story and Im stickin to it.

As far as all of this tribal religious experience thing goes, believe what you want to believe. You are what you eat. if you eat propaganda and cult brainwashing techniques for breakfast, you'll spew an extremely irrational statements for lunch. And by dinner you'll be asking someone else to clean up your ignorance. peace in the middle east, where it matters.

ALL beliefs can be viewed as cults..

Your's as well 'amink'

You think you're on the outside looking in, while others think the same on the other end of the line. You have no grounds. It's all ideas.

Tribes
thats a good video game, but by no means is it the way that one should define a lifestyle.

Tribe implies some kind of implied hierarchical structure for maintaining order, control, over those within the tribe. Isn't that why your ancestors left europe and asia, or africa? Obviously in pre-industrial its a good idea to have some kind of governing body to maintain a record of supplies, and equipment, but not anymore. I wouldn't want manager to tell me when to do this that or the other thing, why would you want a tribal council ordering or controlling your way of life?

or is it some kind of abstract, intellectual, gratification, believing that you are part of a greater body of mind and spirit than yourself. Thats pretty skewed.

your local tribe is but a speck in the grain cloud of my synthesizer, it is nothing more than a pixel from my 1600x1200 (not bad for a 32MB video card) resolution display.

tribe...

1. I am an atheist. Therefore I have no beliefs, no beliefs no cult. If you wanted to say my non-beliefs puts me in a non-cult, that would be fine.

2. As Geek mentioned before, We are here to die, to reproduce and die. IF you could simply look at it as a cycle, a food chain of sorts. Plants and animals reproduce and die. Just because we have a conscience (not that animals might not have one) we are led to believe we are special. We are not.

3. AND I am allowed to say anything I want. I have grounds to speak of anything, I was born in America, I have rights. So go tell a foreigner they dont have grounds. DJ play that song on and on and on and on.

Peace in the middle east, where it matters.

Are drug induced 'tribal' experiences tolerated?? or do you have to be sober. It seems serindkipidotodone has left the building of logic and reason, but did she ever enter to begin with?? Go ask your God, he might tell you. HAAa

e=mc pee pants

einstein said our existence is impossible....was he therefore suggesting that the logical world is somehow contained within an impossible world?- this impossible world being defined in whatever way(magical or mystical or spiritual or indefinable or whatever...).....and if so, wouldn't that be like totally cool and stuff?....
