I have never spun at Talbott Street, so I am eager. I want to rock that bar - STRAIGHT! After I get done on the tables, I will show my true skill and that is 'bustin' a groove of the 'friggin' dance floor, baby - yeah' -

and, i wouldn't necessarily call what Talbott plays as "house"
anymore than you would call the progressive that you guys
tend to play "trance"... (altho' i have in jest)

well... in fact, i was there this saturday. i don't know if the
re-engineering was somethig special for the Halloween night.
i will assume that it was... b-c there was no sound that "surrounded
the entire room"... surprisingly, there was quite a bit of dead space
in the ver middle of the upper dancefloor (around the boxes)...

by 2:15 or so, the poor speakers that i did hear sound was
basically farting their way thru the rest of the night.

i shouldn't say that, it did seem that the problem went away
eventually...

the dj was back up in that upper "diva" area this saturday...
but i'm sure that'll be dealt with ...

on that, i hope you are right.

i hope that, unlike INDUSTRY, Talbott allows for some folks
skilled at sound engineering such as yourself to tweek and
correct the problems if they should arise.

if they had super stellar sound on Halloween, that's
awesome... maybe they throw in the big guns on
special nights... hopefully, they'll consider this a "special"
night. i know i do.

so, you say they have quality sound now... fine... i have
no reason to not believe you... i just hope Talbott doesn't
let us down. i'm anxiously awaiting for this Thursday's
beats.
 
Whoo Hooo just got approved for my "vacation" day on Friday. No wonder I save them for well needed days. :)
 
I am looking forward to this event, which is only 2 days away at this point. Indy has had some awesome events lately and this one will be a blast also, I'm sure. I will have to get my shit together and get there early so that I can see Serendipity and Nate the Natural. Sorry I missed you guys during the Terre Haute party, I feel like it's been a long time since I got to see you two spin. =[ Oh well, I will change that this Thursday. =]
 
Talbott is a bomb ass venue, so much space it's not even funny. If you miss this show, you will regret it!
 
Thats what's going to be great about this party, other than the party itself.. the VENUE. Most people don't even know this place exists in Indy.. Everyone should be pleasantly suprised. There is a good reason why the readers of NUVO have voted this the #1 best dance club in the city. This will no doubt be a night to remember.

where is the best place to park? near by lots or street only? I'm really not familiar with the area.

there is a parking lot across the street from the entrance to talbott but is gets full pretty quick. if it is full, just park along the street on talbott or any of the side streets near there.

for 2 years in a row, i believe.


they also got either #1 or #2 in INTAKE WEEKLIES best of, as well.


INTAKE is similar to NUVO, only not so liberal-artsy-political.

there is a small parking spot immediately north of the club
and just south of the club, too...

otherwise, just park on the streets in the surrounding 'hood.

even in Talbott's most packed (and it can get packed) no one
ever complains about parking. you'll be fine. :)
