What's wrong with it? Too little crowd?

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to make it out yet to see for myself.

draw has been low outside of labor day, but last sunday drew in a pretty nice crowd. i'd say about 75 or so people throughout the night, but i'm not the best spot counter. Andy Austin busted his last week promoting, giving out free passes, etc, so hopefully it's gonna start picking up.

Where is he promoting it outside of Myspace and the Vogue?

I've yet to see a flyer at any of the events I've been to.

talbott street, and a few other clubs i think. he has gone through several thousand flyers, so he's handing 'em out somewhere, but i would like to get some to flyer certain places that he probably hasn't hit. again, it's not my night, but i do want to see it succeed and try to help with promotion.

I agree. And I'm all for anything promoting the EDM scene in this city.

So is Talbott street his target audience?

It seems like he's missing a big part of the demographic/potential audience, by not mixing up some of the DJ's or promoting at events like those listed on this site, like Juxtapose, my events, or even the events at Tru. I don't go everywhere, but I've certainly been to a lot of places promoting my own events and I've yet to see a flyer.

If he's having attendance issues, he may want to consider broadening his target demographic. Especially if he has "several thousand" flyers.

No offense intended to anyone. Just my general observation/suggestion.

no prob. appreciate the input since i try to relay any concerns/ideas i hear on here or elsewhere to Andy. again, gonna try to hit up more places with flyers when i can get some more. i do often worry with certain venues/events about flyering. some places are cooler with it than others if it's for another venue. i also need to make sure there are some in certain places in ripple like Indy CD Vinyl and other shops.

I think he's trying on some levels to reach a more base club crowd, ala Talbott/Vogue, who might be into house, but not necessarily a part of the scene, but still is interested in maintaining said crowd as well. a place like the Vogue has to have a large crowd, and catering to one scene or the other still probably isn't gonna get the numbers he needs, especially on a Sunday. He tried with the Industrial/80s crowd with mixed results. I do have some ideas for DJs that i'm gonna see if he's interested in from Juxtapose and the like, and i've already directed one to him who was interested. Again, i can only do so much since it's not my show, but Andy seems open to suggestions. i would recommend DJ's who spin house and are interested to hit him up on his myspace or website. that's essentially what TurtleMatt did to get booked.

[andy will get a eclectc style soon i think, but a base is needed to keep it going..andy's had some good djs, jackola's set was off the hook, and considering its location it could potentially have a highly positive effect on the general poulace of the indyscene..

This Week: Yours Truly. Starts @ 9, with me from 10-11 or so spinning electro/funky house. $3 cover. $1 wells all night.

I finally made it out there this week. It was pretty dead. Need to figure out a way to get people in there.

My entourage of 5 made up almost half the total number. :\

$2 wells is a cool deal. So are $1 Long Islands.

Apparently needs something else.

had to miss this week. heard draw was low again, which is unfortunate since when i dj'd 2 weeks ago it had about 30-40 draw that stayed the whole night, and the week before that about 75 people came out. trying to do what i can to help spread the word. need to get some flyers from andy since i think he got another print run.
