Bluelighter
It is quite busy... but a lot of people use it. Local people.
Maybe I was a bit harsh. I do believe his performance could add to the experience instead of distract from it but it must be done right. Im not even sure what the "right" way is... but if you continue to have Joe play, please try and figure it out.God dammit, Joe Meltdown.....I'm all for it......But it's gotta make sense.
I would also like to add another observation. I know that most locals in the loop steer clear of bluefight due to the frequent nay-saying and trash talking...most of those ppl just can't digest that the internets is serious business which leads them to dismiss bluelight discussions as a bunch of assholes trashing everybody and everything for the sake of being know-it-alls. but, underneath the never-ending battle of wits, there is definitely a wealth of valuable information in regards to the quality of the event in question. remember we are all jaded and burned out from the failures of promoters/venues past but what we do share is fairly large wealth of experience with dj'ing, raving, promoting and a general knowledge of good electronic music. after all the griping about the venue, the initial price of BBB and everything in between someone noticed and compensated accordingly. I think that willingness to comply with our likes/disikes shows me that perhaps indy has a fighting chance...still a lot of work to be done but at least we're working together to make the most out of what we got.
But the question is: how much of a community is it?
How many clubbers are still using this board?
I see the same people posting every day, which doesn't necessarily preclude people from coming on and looking at the forum without ever logging on or registering . . . but like, Bad Boy Bill . . . the question stands: how many people there know Bluelight?
How many people show up at Tru or Blu because they saw a post on Bluelight?
I'm sure there are a few, but I doubt anything to be concerned with 'splitting a community' over.
Am I wrong?
We need some statistics!!
I'm excited for the idea of a new . . . something-or-other . . . there's been talk with the other promoters about this, I know, but I think Jimmy takin' it by the cock is a good thing!

i think it'll serve far more personalized service than any regular 'board' could do. I'll go into more detail once I've gotten the full roadmap laid out and what it is going to take.
but, if I just wanted to make another dead board, that'd take 10 minutes of setup
Just registered . . . guh. That site is far too busy!!!
After logging in, follow the white rabbit at the top left. Take the red pill. The new "2.0" style will then show. It's less cluttered.
Okay so today I see TWO CHARGES on my card from Pulse. One for $12 @ 12:52 and one for $48 @ 2:40. WTF! This is absolutely ridiculous and I was lied to. We left right around 2:40 and I bet that bartender charged me for "Masons" tab and then fucking lied to me about it. I have no idea why my card was charged $12 earlier in the night... just total BS and now im pissed. I called the # on their FB with no answer so I guess Ill be heading down there SaturdayWhen I went to close my tab, neither my credit card or index card with my drinks on it could be found. I was starting to freak out, nervously watching the bartender search for my stuff and after at least 5 minutes, I saw him pick up my card which was just laying haphazardly under the register amongst the mess. It looked like he just randomly grabbed someone's tab (which didnt have a credit card attached to it either) and tried to pawn it off on me. Melody and I had 8 domestics during the night. This tab had like 5 yager bombs, some stoli/red bulls and a few beers and had the name "Mason" at the top. I called the dude out and he ended up not charging me for anything at all. He was apologetic about the situation and Im not upset about it. After all, I know exactly what its like back there so no hard feelings. However, the bar issue most definitely needs to be addressed.

there's always indymojo
which Matt seems to be using well.
They even have an EDM part of the site as well... forums, the whole deal.
That I'm tired of being the only one posting on the Juxtapoze thread on there

Srsly.
There's like 15 people who get on this drug site. I only get on here because it's another place to post my events....and to see George type his rants. lol
A lot of actual PEOPLE on Mojo.![]()
mhmm, whatever DRUGGIE! loljk
Srsly though, I hate that this is our main point of underground communication. We need a board dedicated to just music. I've talked about creating one too, but I can't make the people follow me there.
