yea, where did ground control go? i want more topspeed and less CRAP local edm djs.
 
The event will be postponed for 2 weeks due to several prearranged Casba events. We will return on December 11th with Rudy Kizer of X103's "Hit the Decks"

Wouldn't ya want to open your first night with some of the dope talent indy actually has and not some douche nozzle like rudy kizer?

You should talk to some of the people in the scene and find out who's actually doing some real shit and get them out. There's some shit bubblin' in the nap... just needs to be brought out right.

the first night we were told the night before,and givin one week.
we worked with what we had at the time,to be honest rudy kizer promotes electronica o na major radio station which as far as im concerned,is for the greater good. if anyone wants to spin there and thinks they have skills,please let me know,thats exactly what this event is for..thats why i jumped on that oppertunity when i had the chance,rather than some indyrock band or something getting that spot. it means that whenever a good vynal or electronica dj whats to spin in broadripple they have a place,koncrete has downtown solid..but we need a place in broadripple.

i got 3 weeks open after dec 11th(nothing definate anyway),no d&b djs just yet we gotta take the locals in baby steps first,then we progress them over a bit..

No, we have both been around for a while. We had a night at the Living Room Lounge downtown for about 6+ months before we decided to begin looking elsewhere. We were monthly DJs at Mister E's Counter Culture at Local's Only, have both spun for Mutiny @ the Casba as well as @ the Melody Inn for DJ Coppertop's events and GenCon (which is actually what led us to getting a monthly event there), among others. I know we have been getting a lot of hate from some in the community, and that's fine, as we are relatively unknown to many, but I would hope that people would come check our shows out before they assess our skills and the like. We're not just doing this for us, but also to bring up other DJ's in the various scenes that want an opportunity. I don't want to give the impression that we're trying to compete with other events like Konkrete, or pretend we're gonna come close to what Topspeed had with Ground Control.

yes the ideah is to work together,and bring back what we once had in broadripple..

we tried it last week..i actually like d&b,the problem is it doesnt seem like the braodripple crowd deals with it very well,just not yet,but soon..you dont convince people of ideahs by saying something they cant comprehend yet,and it really doesnt seem like the broadripple crowd is ready yet for that..

i believe you, and we're willing to do it. it's just that we need to get things going steady before we do anything too heavy in that style. unfortunately, many people seem to see the style as abrasive (something i personally dont understand), and we have to be fairly limited for now. also, we're really wary of coming across as some sort of competition to Konkrete, which is something we're not attempting at all. We would, however, like to showcase D&B Djs that may not be spinning there. its just gonna be a little bit before we come in with any full force D&B.
