I had to look that up because I'm not to hip on my old school Motown, but I guess I must be daft as I have no idea what you're talking about. I've only ever treated you with respect, George. I'm an open book and have nothing to hide.

By the way, can we cut the drama, please? It seems every EDM thread has to have some kind of personal attack in it. In my eyes, it makes Indianapolis look really bad. It's no wonder the scene here is dying.

and i'm not making a personal attack. it's an observation/opinion based on what you've said in this thread...you're a little pushy with your dnb crusade and it rubs ppl the wrong way. i would say save a select few of our "scene" peers i trust none of them. it's not about being jaded it's about not being naive...

just letting everyone know that paradox has been shut down

i had to corner the casbah management just to get a straight answer,since the owner was too spineless to tell me herself,or even send an employee to tell me, she didn't tell me at all,i had been trying to get a straight answer for weeks.:!....
but no worries..i had already talked to a few venues around the area,and since i have my paid vacation next week,ill be spending that looking around Indy for as many as i can handle,if and when that happens i will most likely post it up on here as well as have a website done.

trying not to rant..boy meets world i guess..

anything decent in music can be brought back,givin that theres enough money and promotion backing it,you just have to convince the public that your music is better to goto than top 40(which isnt hard at all)honestly i think people goto the mindshaft because they have cheap drink specials,and 3k$ worth of lighting,the music probably isnt the main concern. it should be.

i figured a little naivete came with that pretty face of yours. you're right, though, on one thing is that the scene is whatever we make it. it's not "real"...it's just about attitude. as dj's/artists/producers there really isn't a precedent on working together. it's pretty much every man for himself these days and that kind of splintered clique dogma just perpetuates it.

i could start namedropping local producers of all genres and make the point that none of them really work together on anything. that kind of collective spirit is what defines a healthy "scene"...unfortunately everybody here is too jaded by the political and personal drama that there isn't any room to nurture such a thing like the bastard child that is the indy EDM "scene".

when people aren't inspired by each other when they're participating in something they allegedly have "love" for there really isn't anything happening at all but a bunch of bitching, trifling personal drama polarizing everybody as usual and nobody getting paid to play.
