oh ya and for those that don't know me i was the tall guy dancing most of the night (either in the circles or in the middle of the dancefloor at the end of the night) in a black addidas jacket with white stripes down the arm, jeens, and a white kangol hat.

wow, thats where i have to start. wow!
so um, damn this weekend was one of most hectic of my life, but due to all the help i received, the event went off without anyone noticing the troubles we encountered.
friday night was super DOPE! no, literally. god damned i love good food.
saturday morning i found the venue chained and pad locked. i was then extorted for 1000 dollars by someone who may or many not have had the right to do that. i am currently investigating and could be taking someone to court.
reid nearly missed her flight here due to delays. sucked, but she got here safe and sound.
saturday night went off with minimal troubles. i didnt really get to catch many of the sets because i was at the door or busy all night, but i have heard mostly good reviews about everyone. ESPECIALLY BRANDON KAYE!
submerge 101 rawked and was placed at 3 in the morning to liven the party back up when all of the bars closed. sorry if it didnt really work for you.
it appears that someone was doing something stupid in the girls bathroom downstairs.... found a splatter pattern of blood in the handicapped stall.... dumb ass.
nate, i will have more food next time i see you. glad we got your cdj back to you in working order. thanks. where the fuck was whole deep blue crew including a certain mr owens?! but super thanks to all of the kids from the l'ville that came up. i was proud to host you.

log2 is the dopest A/V company ever! this party wouldnt have been have of what it was if not for them. 5 lasers and the 6 black beasts. i mean shit! the neighboring businesses were worried we would collapse the wall it was so loud.
the police dropped by just to see what was up, but they were quickly up the street w/in a few seconds. they let us party till 6am!!!!!!!!!!
thank you to all of the people who helped make this happen including all of the kids who came out of the wood work for this.

yes, i lost money....more than i care to discuss, but it was well worth it. everyone seemed to be having a blast,and these reviews validate that.
we had about 300 paying ppl thru the door and around 100 other ppl on guest list, working, or snuck in when i wasnt looking.
keep your eyes peeled for more events by Pocket Protector... though you are going to have to wait a second until i finish up the semester before i start promoting another show.
as for that venue, it may never be used again. not unless i can figure out what the deal is with the real owner of the spot. i may lose another 500 for the deposit even though we left the venue in better condition than we found it.Last edited:

No, I do not have a warrent. I have an impeccably clean record and intend to keep it that way so I can get my kids back. As for Geek. I am sorry to hear things went bad yet good. I am glad the cops left you all alone until 6 in the morning. Wish I had stayed all night long but I wasn't very prepared for it in the first place. I will be looking forward to the next party.not too shabby guys not too shabby....I had fun, although I didn't arrive till 2 a.m. due to my roommates complete lack of urgency. but hey i got there right? good sound upstairs, enjoyed the dancefloor, the place needed more trashcans (a LOT more trashcans) ryan, nice to meet ya (kindof meet ya) i was w/juju, kyle it was definately good to meet you, i'll be seein ya'll around at more parties hopefully...i'll be out more this summer when i've got my nights off. we saw cops all OVER the place headin home too. like 4-6 before getting completely outta bloomington, 3 more at least before hitting 65 and on 65 one cut across the median ditch and followed us for just a short bit before turning around and getting someone else. i mean seriously....but ah well. what can be done about getting a venue that serves alcohol for the future?
